I haven’t voted yet but I am going to be voting for Plaid Cymru
Been a life long labour voter but will never vote for that genocide supporting party ever again - that was the last straw for me, they are basically the same as the tories anyway - both parties only care about the grotesquely rich, they don’t care about us.
Nobody, but don’t need bravery to Say if I did…Always stuck with labour but recent years stuck with none of them!
I was brought up in a family of Labour supporters…being working class as such…that was how it was back then in the days of ‘Honey’
Reform
At risk of being perceived as dense are you referring to the film Dianne?
I don’t need to be brave to say who I voted for - we all still have a free choice to vote how we wish, thank goodness.
I voted for Tom Wilson, who is representing Labour in my Constituency of Richmond, North Yorkshire.
It is the first time I have ever voted for a Labour Candidate- I usually plump for a Liberal or Independent Candidate - but, despite there being 13 Candidates standing in my Constituency this year, I thought Tom was the best choice.
I doubt he will win more votes than Rishi Sunak but he seemed like the most likely Candidate to give him a run for his money.
Tell a lie, I did actually vote for the liberal democrats once - but what a disappointment Nick Clegg turned out to be! Also they are too much like labour and the tories imo, not radical enough - if I lived in England I would vote for the Green Party (and SNP if I lived in Scotland).
perceived as dense chilliboot!..just because I think that, I would never be so rude as say it!
Honey is very taste of honey like
Yes, Nick Clegg was a big disappointment.
I used to vote “Liberal” but I have never voted “Liberal Democrat” - when that merger happened, I started voting for a local Independent candidate, who was a well respected and well liked small business owner.
To be honest, whoever you vote for in this Constituency, the Cons Candidate always got a seat with about 60% of the vote - this year, Rishi may find his seat is not so safe after all … … we will know soon enough
I haven’t voted and have no intention of doing so. I am sickened by all politicians and have no trust in any of them to do the right thing by us.
I’m still with the SNP.
Coming from a family who had a Junior Minister in the Blair government and now safely in a safe Labour constituency there was only one way I was going to vote.
But I used to vote Lib-Dem in my previously safe Tory constituency until they went into coalition with the Tories.
I can never forgive them for that.
And no…I haven’t moved.It’s boundary changes.
Surprisingly there was no Reform candidate in the Doncaster North constituency but there was a Social Democrat (David Bettany) who more or less adopted the Reform manifesto, and even mentioned his support for Reform. So I voted for him. Ed Miliband is the labour candidate, and will probably join the labour council yet again since the boundary changes greatly benefit labour.
I would never support any party that supports ‘Net Zero’ although I’m all for reducing pollution. But only if the solutions are as efficient as current methods, which wind turbines and solar panels are not. Neither are electric vehicles.
since our local MP is the speaker of the house there is no opposition albeit a few minor parties did try, but no reform candidate, so i didn’t vote
Would have voted reform but it was always going to be conservative or snp in this area so voted conservative
It was almost pointless. My constituency has always been a Conservative safe seat and they won by a massive majority - yet again, despite a vigorous campaign by Labour. It has never changed all the years I’ve lived here.
Voted none, and expect to in future, even if the voting system is reformed corruption is the motivation behind the elected.
Disappointed but not surprised.
As usual the three wards of Doncaster have returned a labour majority despite my vote…
It’s like swimming against the tide so it’s time to stop swimming and not waste one more moment of my life on politics…
Same here Abbey.
Intense public scrutiny needed on Members of Parliament and their performance, make it abundantly clear that UK politics just got a little tougher for all of them. Apathy is not an option for those expecting a “cushy” time.
