It also aims to divide people. The “you” is meant as regular people. The “they/them” are the outsiders, the ones who undermine regular society, the ones who are wrong - but who would still get support from democrats. Who are therefore also wrong and against you regular guys. It is endorsing the demonising of one minority group. Chucking gay & trans people under the bus for some votes. Nice, not.

Fascist Don was appealing to the Christian Right, a religiously fanatical group, and while it was effective, Ms. Harris’ biggest failings is she could not attract black men, and / or men of colour, this I have heard from many blacks I know. Their reasoning was they (blacks) have supported Democrats for decades and their supported was never reciprocated, and they are under the delusion they have nothing to lose, and Fascist Don will simply step down in 4 years. My country is about to be reminded of what a Christofascist Corpocracy will do to it;’ working class, elderly , and poor, and none of it will be good.
Of course - all the more reason to think through how the ad or campaign is trying to d o that and make sure one is swayed by actual policies and values not knee jerk emotional strings.

On the news today they said he was there during the “alleged” call with Putin (incidentally a call the Kremlin has denied has taken place)
and a big supporter of traitor Don, it is scarey what the American voters have done. They will not be truthfully able to tell future generations they did not know, Fascist Don told us in advance.

Yes, it’s all “supposed to” and “alleged” and they all refer to the Wallstreet Journal as the source which, in turn, cites several current and former government officials from the USA, Europe and Russia confirming that Musk had even been in regular contact with Putin since the end of 2022. Two years ago, Musk had still explicitly denied that.
Musk seems to have (had) clearance for top secret matters. The Wall Street Journal, citing a current and a former secret service employee, has it that, at one point, Musk was asked by Putin not to activate the Starlink system in Taiwan.
Musk’s role is still murky around the edges. All we know is that Trump has a job for him which might get him deeply involved with the establishment.
