Ist of May today, Started my new regime, Porridge for breakfast, a banana for lunch, yet to decide on evening food.
I am 80 kg right now. I will weigh myself again next Sunday night.
Even a small loss will see me going in the right direction.
Simples Bretnick. If you put more in than you take out it’s going to be stored somewhere and it will be deposited about your person…
Get a calorie counter and and keep it below 1500 Kcal per day…
I am extremely sedentary, maybe an exercise bike. As long as I pedal long enough to burn energy
Just eat less calories to suit your lifestyle Bretrick…
Check your weight each week and if you are not gaining weight you are breaking even, so just reduce your calorie intake until you start losing a little weight each week. Remember it takes time though, so don’t be impatient. If you lose weight too fast, you will return to normal once you stop counting the calories. Get into the habit of keeping to your daily target and it will become easy. Treat it as a long term investment in your health, and not a short term fad…good luck…
Burn loads of calories and eat what you like. And drink some too.
Around now would be the very time when you overdo something and crash right out of doing anything.
If you buy an exercise bike, end every session EMBARRASSED, in that you could have done so much more, and so that you feel that people would laugh at you if they found out how little you do when on it. This is your life you’re extending…their opinions simply don’t matter, and they don’t have to know how much/little you do, anyway.
Underdo everything, regardless of the exercise being done. Remember that your buttocks, inner thighs, front thighs and your groin will hurt very notably, after your first time on the bike, regardless of how little you do. If they hurt?..those are already developing, and you are on your way. Crawl upwards in cardio’, because there is no hurry, and no need for a target.
PLEASE…talk to your GP before starting, and ask him how he can help you. If you have a bathroom scale, take it with you and check that they both say that you’re the same weight on them. If you have a blood pressure cuff (any form), get that matched to your doctor’s own, if you are able. Being able to get those devices matched to each other is very helpful, including helpful to your GP!
When you work ANY muscles on a Monday…they don’t stop developing until Thursday or Friday, which, of course, is great. You don’t get fit while on a fitness machine and you don’t grow muscle while doing weight bearing exercises…both developments are done only BETWEEN sessions.
That’s worth remembering and very easy to forget!
This is my workout sheet - anybody can make them, Bretrick.
If you’d like me to, I can send you a blank version so that you can put the exercises down the left side and the dates will already be across the top. Let me know, if you’d care to keep track of your progress in this way, and I’ll dig out the blank original/s. If you have a printer, or know somebody who does, you can have lots of these printed out, and ready…just put in the month name and year, and…you’re away.
That would be great Ian.
Thank you for taking the time to show me that losing weight can be achieved, albeit slowly.
How do I send you a Personal Message.
It tells me to click on your avatar then click the envelope.?
When I click on your avatar there is no envelope?
I’ve just sent you the blank version. I’ll wait here, to see if you’ve received it.
Received. I am at work. Lunch time now.
Love it Ian…
Here’s mine for April…No good for you though Bretrick, it’s all running with some walking, when I have to walk for a bit or have a nag if I meet someone I know…
“Nagging with Mark the Boiler and Paul the Runner”…that was hilarious!
You’ve got to want to do it, but think that if you don’t what will happen, it’s to do with the mind.
Thanks Ian. Sometimes I don’t know their surnames, or there might be more than one person I meet called Mark or Paul, so it helps me to identify them later.
Luke and John will be along shortly
God bless you Spitty…
And all who sail on him
two wee tips pal…DONT weigh yourself for the first month
secondly, the best exercise is pushing the plate away before its empty
secondly +1 lol, you do the shopping, no biscuits chocolate ect. good luck mate…
