You can always tell a rugby man by the size of his neck.
Me - coming out of my room after watching five weeks worth of rugby…
Wales head coach Byron Hayward has named a 36-man squad for the U20 Six Nations championship campaign!
The squad includes 11 players who participated in last summer’s successful U20 Summer Series in Italy, and will be captained by Dragons back row Ryan Woodman.
Hayward believes he has selected a strong squad for the campaign which sees Wales host Ireland at Stadiwm CSM next Friday in the opening round of matches.
“It is the strongest squad we could have picked because of recruitment,” he said. “Our identification of this squad has been really thorough since last September and we’re in a totally different place to where we were 12 months ago
…
Che Hope,Harri Ackerman,Ollie Andrew and Ryan Woodman all Newport players.
Yes it was.RIP Phil Bennett. He was a nice man too.
Definitely a forward pass or two in there.
Cliff got the gig because Bill McLaren had flu.
Couple of head high tackles on JPR would see play stopped for 47 replays and a red card these days!
I didn’t know that,Bill would have been good too.
I’ve seen a few Babarians matches and the refs always entered into the spirit of it all. They used to anyway, before it all went professional.
The Good old days.
I miss Good Friday at Penarth and the following Tuesday at Newport!
Whatabout Cardiff on the Saturday ???
