The four horsemen of the apocalypse failed to arrive as forecasted, but it has been a bit windy with some heavy rain. When I was a child back in the fifties it would have just been another windy day.
Yes, specially for the end of November here. Gusts of stronger wind do seem to be getting worse though. We have sun at present.
That is bad, Rox. We had our fence redone a few days ago or that would be down now as well. Do hope the cost isn’t too bad & like me you can share it with your next door neighbours.
Is it intact, Wishbone, no good it it’s broken.
Gosh! Hope the electric people get to you to mend it soon.
yes tiff he’s not having that back
Yep, no names to them back then.
Thanks Tiff, It is too cold to sit here much longer without heating!
Wrap up warm, Twink, lots of layers.
Tiff our nearest neighbours are 1/4 of a mile away.
Oh! Then it’s all yours.
As any bloke will tell you, it all depends on how cold it is.
A bit of a thunderstorm last night, complete with howling gale and torrential rain. Woke up to a covering of snow this morning, but it’s starting to thaw a bit. More expected later today.
We had some lightning too and the thunder rumbles sounded odd in the wind … no snow at all though.
V had to get up at 4:45 this morning, she said it had just started snowing. I got up at 5:45 for the same reason and, having been to the loo, looked out of the window. We’d had about 3-4" of snow in an hour I hate snow.
Ooer … and you’re in the wild and woolly wastes of Staffordshire… I’m glad it didn’t come to Cheshire.

Ours being old style, they have nothing but the weight that keeps them on the roof…or off when the wind blows strongly…

Tiff I still have a live power line hanging across my garden no higher than 5 feet above the ground… which nothing should touch. At 2pm yesterday I was told they would get to me a.s.a.p.but nobody has been yet, so I have now asked the fire brigade to chase the electric safety board up & they said they will register a complaint to them.
I am having to put heating on but dont know if it is safe, should it rain.
it is now 36 hours since I reported to them & they haven’t done anything yet!
