Alrighty then…alert immigration, I’m on my way! The boat will get there soon enough
Qualities that attract me are :
Kind
Smart
Funny
Mentally stable - has to be my rock forever and a day.
I’m already standing on the dock, scanning the horizon with my very powerful telescope. Wave something colourful. Do you have a flag?
Bon sang ! (Désolé Dieu) ! Cette marine française m’a pris dans ses eaux ! Marmonner quelque chose à propos des migrants d’Afrique… Je ne peux tout simplement pas gagner!
Jump overboard and swim for it. But do it in English, otherwise I might not recognise you when you drag yourself ashore. I will be waiting with a towel and a flask of something warm and restorative.
Bearing in mind that list of requirements did have you / did you find this man ?
scruffy sod
And proud of it.
You remember Last Of The Summer Wine? Guess which character I resemble most.
Nora Batty?
It hit me as soon as I’d posted that comment that someone would say that, Tabby. And I’m delighted that it was you.
Go on … I dares you!
Only if you promise not to be horrified.
I tend to be more physically attracted to fairly lean, fit, compact bodies without too much hair. I find too much excess fat or over-toned “body builder” muscles quite a turn off.
Apart from that, I don’t have a particular physical “type” that attracts me.
I am more attracted by personality and charm.
I am attracted by a bit of modesty and a relaxed sense of fun - a twinkle in the eyes and a ready smile.
Kindness, compassion, a genuine care for people, animals and the natural world, a humorous outlook on life and a bit of spontaneity are traits I find attractive.
In most cases it does appear that many of the ladies on here are describing their perfect human, and not necessarily the basic qualities of attraction by a member of the opposite sex. From many of the descriptions, only Jesus, the dali lama, and George Clooney lookalikes would be suitable.
I was keeping it real and describing what attracted me to my late husband and to the lovely man in my life now.
What if you never meet anyone ?
Could you live alone for the rest of your life ?
Something we will all probably have to do at some point .
It’s a frightening thought isn’t it Muddy…I’ve never lived alone I have no idea how I would cope but I don’t think looking for another partner would be a solution for me …I might buy another Alexa and get the full sky movies package
I’ve had dark thoughts about being alone, no more Mrs d00d.
And thought I’d get a dog. Seriously, dogs are good company.
We already have a dog will he outlive us I wonder ?
