I’m with you on that one Rose!
Sometimes less is more, this seeded rye bread is £2.00 a loaf but tasty, nutritious and filling
I wouldn’t want to go back to that overly processed cotton wool! ![]()

I don’t think so LongDriver. My first annual checkup back in 2022 apparently there was 13 years of battery life. It has been reducing by around one year on each of my annual checkups and now stands at nine years.
I have a two lead version and battery use is dependent on the amount of time the pacer has to assist the heart in keeping a regular beating pattern. If the defibrillator is ever used it will drastically reduce battery life.
An internet link on my bedside table sends regular reports to the cardiology department at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield so only annual visits are necessary. Unless something goes wrong.
I know what you mean about the cotton wool! ![]()
Rye breads and other cereal breads are becoming very popular here.
I never thought I’d ever buy zero fat plain yogurt, I didn’t even used to like the sugary ones!
My diet has always been healthy. I rarely do any fast food, never did even in younger years, preferring veggies and fish and chicken. I didn’t crave chocolate, or ice cream, only an occasional glazed doughnut or piece of fruit.
I preferred preparing a home cooked dinner over eating from a McD bag. My kids thanked me for this as they have stayed slim when adults.
@Rose2 Absolutely! It’s funny how our priorities change as we get older. We definitely appreciate our health much more now. ![]()
let’s hope someone is reading them OGF. These days likely a bot…
Well done on that. Not only did you save your own health but that of the next generation.
