What have you done today?

Today I booked a return flight to Malaysia, my first overseas trip since 2019 (I don’t count my Christmas Cruise in the South Pacific). The air fares have come down a lot since I last looked - in fact they are half what they were late last year (hence that cruise)

Really looking forward to it.

Went on a day trip to London with my son to meet my Scottish niece.

Since we got to London Bridge quite early we paid a flying visit to Borough Market before it got packed out and bought a little tub of Cape Malay Curry Powder from Spice Mountain co.

Off to Covent Garden for a couple of drinks in our not so local pub before a little shopping in Foyle’s.
A very mellow and enjoyable day indeed.

We had a lovely surprise visit from my daughter and family. The grand girls are 15 and 11 now. Life moves on…

Went to Llanelli for the rugby.
We stuffed them!

Today! This morning, since I did an overnight fast for my bloodwork testing (S/O to https://requestatest.com/ for being so awesome) I had a HUGE breakfast at my favorite cafe (alone, sue me), called my son Tomas (he got me tickets to BEYONCE) and chatted with him for 3 hours too long.

Home, now, browsing the forum and internet while my cats harass me for food and lovings

Went shopping with daughter. Got to score off many items of Grocery list.

Got a funky and colourful set of knives for daughter, they fit her hands perfectly. She’s petite at 5’3" so our old knives set (which had been guaranteed for 25 years) needed replacing.

Then, I got myself two of the styles I prefer to use for chopping. In progress replacing old kitchen utensils. So today got new flipper and ladle. Hopefully, I’ll be able to complete the set.

Got daughter to choose other gifts for her birthday. She chose two summer PJ’s and a Saltire blue hoodie matching her brother and daddy’s eyes.

Found an amazing fridge odour remover for £2.49. Oh and a new tartan purple and yellow trolley for a £10 to replace the nearly 4 years old polka dot trolley bag. It had a cracked handle and the bag’s interior was ripped.

Replacement bags for the models came to £35 so, I think I’ve a bargain again. Now I’ve spared wheel base. Overall a good day. Had the windys opened and the heating is officially OFF. Savings Time!

I had a very interesting day, a walk along a Canal and a Lancaster Bomber flew over after it had done a fly past over a memorial.
We had been along this part of the Canal last week in search of a Nature Reserve , but we had to turn back where the Canal had come over the foot path .
So on our way back this time we wore wellington Boots and managed to get further along .I took this Photo of a Heron

I then came across a family of Swans

After resting a Couple came and told us now was the best time to see the Nature Reserve, giving us directions to come off the canal and across muddy fields .
We made our way to a sight to behold 2 fields of Orchids , 10.000!

So far, let the dog out and drank my morning coffee, now away for a shower. But it is only 9.30am

Showered, shaved, had breakfast, and present myself to Mrs Fox for my next job…

Trying out my new camera to see what it can do.

Been to the rugby.
Not mentioning the result☹️

What was the score?

Ummmm…21-7 to Cardiff…who now play Llandovery in the League play off Final.
