The batteries were fine, no leaks but they are double the cost of Woollies own brand. I haven’t had any problems with Duracell because I never buy them, I was very surprised to find these and can only surmise why.
For AA and AAA alkaline batteries I buy a bulk pack from Bunnings of Vesta batteries made in Germany. All much cheaper than Everready or Duracell brands
Sorted out my T shirt drawers only to discover I had 42. Kept the top 20 and dumped the rest. Some of them I can’t even remember buying. Maybe they were presents, who knows. Anyhoo they’ve gone now. When I say dumped I meant taken to the local charity shop.
Woke up, had breakfast then I went to my cabin where I brew my own beer. That’s my hobby! I really enjoy making my own beer. I make it for my own good taste and it’s awesome! Is there someone else who does this brewing thing?
Made curry this morning: about 10 skinless, boneless chicken thighs from Tesco, 4 smallish onions, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 big red peppers, 1/2 jar of Pataks Balti, med. tin of chickpeas.
Went out to Westfield for lunch where they have food stalls and shared/communal seating area. Got a heaped plate of wok’d prawn & rice, shared with Mrs d00d. Came home watched Homeland on Netflix. Divided up the curry, will have some tonight, put 4 meals in the freezer.
Today I took my dog to the vet .
I’ve been so worried these last few days after discovering a lump on his tummy .
It turn out to be a fatty lump I’d not heard that before, apparently harmless .
Phew …treated the wee fella to a bowl for rice pud.
I used to many decades ago and I still have all the equipment just in case but these days I find it a damn sight easier to go to the grog shop and buy a slab of beer.
Was going away in the camper but with all the rain and flooding about decided to book motels for the week. The idea of a week of mud and boggy ground got the better of me
Such a range of prices, from $99 a night to $140 a night depending on where and when. Prices have rocketed since I last stayed in motels. Anyway I eventually booked them all for the week away, the longest stay is a couple of nights in one place and the cost about three times that of staying in my camper. I guess the fuel cost will be marginally cheaper without towing - probably only talking about saving half to a litre every 100km.
I have to say that slamming doors is a problem I have never come across, neighbours reversing their car into their parking space is the worst though most motels ban it.
My ex wife slept in the kitchen area of a motel in Coober Pedy which was built into a cliff to keep it cool because she was frightened of sleeping in what was essentially a (rather posh) cave.
We had to put up with a full voice conversation at 4.00am in the Hotel carpark in the Hotel we stayed in in August Bank Holiday, What were these people discussing?
