Hi
Yes it was immaculate and I don’t think any other Country could have done it as well as we did.
Hi
Yes it was immaculate and I don’t think any other Country could have done it as well as we did.
Early morning two mile jog/walk had a visit from an old runner friend who had a stroke recently, and watched all of the funeral. Very well organised and precise. Made me think of a saying my father in law used to say…“Nobody can send them off like the British”…
God bless her majesty Queen Elizabeth II may she rest in peace…
@Donkeyman
yes sometime go to Melton Market , when i get taken.
I like Melton nice little Market town .
Watched the Queen’s funeral beginning to end. I was very impressed by it, very moved by it. In my eyes she had a wonderful send off.
@Donkeyman
Good God no I dont frequent Public Houses , turns my stumach the smell of alcohol.
I watched the Queen’s funeral with my son, very moving.
I’m not qualified to comment on things military but the organisation and precision was absolutely staggering!
Where is that ?
The Grapes and The Half Moon pubs
Ah - not a place I have visited.
Not a lot so far. Still recovering from the total inactivity of sitting on the sofa all day yesterday watching the funeral . Will be off out in a short while to feed and walk my daughter’s black lab, and later pick said daughter up from work to make the dash across town to collect her daughter from school.
Hi
I have learnt to shut up, listen and no mansplaining for the day, well a day for a start.
She arrived with an agenda and had obviously come to the same conclusion as my other helper, and the OT and physio.
She is a one woman army, as strong as an Ox and very determined.
She also arrived with a bottle of vodka and some diet Cola.
A present, you will need it, trust me.
My ground floor has been reorganised, strangely enough into what the OT had recommended, with a few twists.
On very bad days, I can now get the 4 wheel walker all around the ground floor.
The desk is now in front of the front window, the sofa which was there is noww in the conservatory and the dining table in the conservatory is now in the lounge diner, but configured as a 4 seater from a 6 seater.
The whole thing looks so much better and bigger.
I am now looking for foliage wallpaper for one wall of the Conservatory.
Just got back from a Photography Exhibition and left there a lot poorer than when I went in.
I went for a walk round town this time, then wrote a bit more of me book,
Then messed about on the forum , now lm gonna AVE me dinner !!
Walked with Max with my neighbour and his two Llaso wee dogs. A slightly different route. Usually my wife and I go but she had an Osteopath appointment so it was just the boys today.
I’ve been to Exeter today for 2 reasons: 1. to take my overlocker machine in for a service at a renowned sewing machine shop there, and 2. to visit my favourite fabric store to buy some lovely warm teddy plush fleece cos I’m going to make myself one of those huge oversize hoodies, a long one reaching mid calf. That’s gonna keep me nice and toasty in the cold winter months to come.
I made my daughter one for Christmas last year, and she said it’s one of the best things she’s ever owned to snuggle into when it’s cold, and save the heating bill!
Hi
A rather strange day, Wendy has been in the garden and polytunnel.
I have been moving and sorting all my meds and emergency stuff into 3 locations downstairs and then searching for where I have put the thermostat.
It is a moveable wifi one which controls the gas boiler and I really do need to find it
