I hope it is good news - she has been really worried about Gertie.
Thank you for your good wishes Jazzi, Susie, Morti and Tabs. And Yes Tabby, it is Gertie again, with her poorly tummy.
Wonāt go into it too much on the Good Morning thread, but she keeps getting stomach pains, itās been going on and off for months now. Gertie canāt handle even the slightest bit of pain, and immediately takes to her bed and calls her servant to attend!
Ideally, she would like to be held and cuddled all day long, until she feels better. Cuddles have always put her little world right.
I have never in my life had a drama queen like her, but because she is like that, it makes it very difficult to judge just how much genuine pain she really is in.
Sheās had a camera down her throat a while back, because they suspected stomach ulcers at one point, but couldnāt see anything much wrong, just a little inflammation.
She was refusing all food today though, and was also passing blood from both ends, so she wasnāt faking it this time, and that is what worried me today.
After 3 injections and a special tablet, and loads of meds to bring home plus a return visit on Wednesday, and a lab test sample to pay for, sheād better pull her finger out and get better sharpish, else Iāve told her Iām taking her to the Charity Shop.
Oh ā¦let me know which one Mups ā¦ I bet you both need a cuddle by now, not just Gertie.
This is the culprit Morti, has me running about after her like a headless chicken, she doesā¦
And yes please, we could indeed both do with a cuddle. Ta muchly.
Look at that innocent little face!
Big hugs - ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( Mups and Gertie ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Sooooooo precious. I could just scoop her up for a snuggle.
Yes Rox, thatās what she does, she gets you feeling all gooey then winds you round her little paw. Iām sure itās all carefully planned.
Today we went to the vet with Max. Itās his annual shots. We walk there - it about thirty minutes each way so it is a comfortable stroll. Then I went to the convenience store. I like their brand of cider. Now my wife and our neighbour are going to visit Ozzieās mum. I donāt go to the hospital because my immune system is a bit compromised.
Lovely pic of Maggiemay, Rox!
Itās my oldest sonās birthday on Thursday, so Iāve made a retro lemon sponge cake, his favourite since he was a tot, and wrapped his birthday prezzies in Star Wars wrapping paper.
Heās 39!
Hi
A trip to the posh garden centre out in the sticks.
It has a lovely cafe, indoors and outdoors seating and the outdoors is round a huge pond with water lillies and koi carp.
A very rare sale on, 1 iitre pots 75p, 2 litre pots, Ā£1.25, some perennialās as well.
All good quality plants .
I rescued a load of geraniums from the shop today, as they were reduced to 50p a pack (of 6). They were getting thrown out as the bedding plants season has finished. Most were in a bad way, but I put some outside and some in pots. Iāll need to get some larger pots later, as its a bit of a squeeze but they were all I had.
Took Mr M and the dog out for a morning walk .
Returned home and hoicked the visiting granddaughters out of bed .
Took them Karting .
Took them and the dog to the park
Purchased ice cream for grands and Mr M ( they all want different flavours )
Exhausted, the two said grand daughters have collapsed on the bed ( with their iPhones ) they said they are not used to this much exercise .
I course they are not the unfit lazy little bums at their age I had done a paper round and a holiday job done my mothers shopping and then rushed down the stables to do all sorts of jobs in order to get free riding .
Know the score! We have the two next week for about a week . Aged 10 and 14. And yes, they are not early starters. That said, the older one likes to takes Max for a daily walk.
I did that recently! Most supermarkets have plants outside on racks but they forget to water them. They always put the worst ones out for sale greatly reduced. I got 6 shrivelled geraniums for Ā£1.20, brought them home, gave them a good drink and planted them in my windowboxes and they look lovely now.
Early morning walk
