What have you done today?

Went to Yoga this morning, then popped into B & Q.
Had a quick sarnie and coffee in M & S, then came home, bundled the dogs in the car and took them for a run up a nice quiet, grassy cart track in the next village.

Just put more washing out this afternon, and then tried to sort a problem out on my computer before getting tea started.

Is Joe Brown still around? I have a number of his LPs but I donā€™t think he was known outside the UK.

I even have a very poor copy of that film ā€œWhat a Crazy Worldā€ Starring him, Susan Maughan and Marty Wilde.

Had an early walk
Fed cat, cleaned his teeth, clipped his claws.
Done the laundry
Sewn some new lace on a petticoat
Played with some new dies - Christmas Trees

We walked to the convenience store this morning. I take the shopping trolley, my wife takes the dog. Then we made call to wish our friend (Ozzieā€™s mum), happy birthday. She is in hospital at the moment. She had several falls at home and now she is unable to walk. To matters worse she has contracted Covids in the hospital so we canā€™t visit her at the moment.

Out on the bike early doors then delivered daughter and her husband to the railway station for a trip to Newcastle for our granddaughters graduation. Only parents are allowed to attendā€¦

Last day of the Tour-de-France and then F1ā€¦

Ha ha, not THAT Joe Brown. itā€™s a brand and nothing to do with him. They are very well made, nicely finished and have designs that my hubby likes.

Ohā€¦ Ooops!

Went to a car boot sale with my friend. Bought a green glass bird Ā£1 and a large pyrex glass roasting dish for Ā£1. I have had mine since I got married 45 years ago and it has a lid and you can use it either way up. The lid of mine is still perfect but the deep base has been chipped several times on the edge and I worry that glass might go into my food. So thatā€™s gone in the bin and my bargain buy is soaking in hot soapy water.

Just making lasagne and salad for lunch.

I did say I thought Vinnegar had the best support .

Yep Caricature, what a great team Jumbo Visma have turned out to be. Youā€™ve got to admire that Van Artā€¦Such an aggressive rider, I bet he features high in the sprint finish later.

I think Cavendish would have struggled against him, wonder whoā€™ll lead him out , not known for breakaways is it , the Champs-ƉlysĆ©es .

I think Cavendish would have seen off any of the sprinters in this years race Caricature, but itā€™s not been a sprinters race this year.
I donā€™t think Van Art needs a lead out man, heā€™s such an aggressive rider heā€™ll just power out of the pack. Donā€™t write off Peter Segan yet though.

Now marvelling at the weather, blowing a gale, sunny then cloudy warm though, weird.

done nothing bar the daily walk. Had a phone call from Drā€™s wanting me back in because of cholesterol levels a bit high, so will have to see what all that is about later on this week

Strolled the hairy hound. Did some weeding. Some admin stuff that needed replies.

Not much, sorted holiday insurance out, Alfā€™s kennels for next year, blowed if I know where the time goā€™s,

Had a walk
Spotted a small flock of Black Helicopters flying quite slowly and very low in the sky.
Fed and groomed The Cat
Shortened a necklace for a friend
Booked a skip to arrive next Monday.
Did some laundry
Took the Shark for a walk
Mended the Loo (small ball-cock adjustment)
Took some chicken out of the freezer - remembered to chop it up before it thawed.
Played with new dies - again! Well ā€¦ they are rather good!

Iā€™m exhausted just reading all that.
Iā€™m a sloth in comparison.

I wonder how @Mups has got on at the vets?
