afternoon job training so I can cover if any afternoon staff off. I don’t like afternoons though so hopefully it wont be too often.

Sorted mum’s plumbing out. The real plumbing - had a water leak coming from under the bath. A real pain in the arse to sort out.
:rage:

Did a load of washing.
Repotted some Pinks cuttings, fed and watered my Roses, Runner Beans and Tomatoes.
Went to an Otago exercise class.
Got dinner, fed dogs, and put bins out for morning colleciton.

Had a fairly successful day so far and it’s only 1pm :slight_smile:

A sunny day in between wet days (of course), got my washing done this morning and on the line, dry by midday.

Drove to Wollongong and changed my Pounds Sterling into Aussie dollars. Might even have made a profit because I bought them when the dollar was 70p and changed them back when the dollar was 56p. They even took the out of date £10 notes.

The only fly in that particular ointment was that I paid $2.40 for three hours parking in the Wollongong CBD which I think is bloody outrageous. No wonder Wollongong shopping centre is in decline and virtually empty when every suburban Mall offers free parking. Bastards! I haven’t been for years and it will probably be years before I need to go again.

Then I drove to The Pantry at Corrimal to buy fourteen $6 meals so I am set for food for the next fortnight.

Designed and printed out a hook on my 3D printer for use when camping, it is a copy of one already fitted to my RV shade tent which attaches it to the vehicle. They are so effective that I want a couple to fix awnings and different attachments to the vehicle when stationary.

Tried a different method of constructing it using a 2D model then converting it to 3D

It is not the same as the original but similar enough.

This is how it is used, hooks onto mudguards or bodywork.

The code I used:

//RV Tent Hook

width=31.5;  //total width
length=61.1; //Total length
hook=43.9;   //Length of hook section
gap=11.6;    //Hook gap
thk=5.6;     //Thickness of Material
rope=7;      //Diameter of rope hole

$fn=60;

difference(){
    linear_extrude(width){
        difference(){
//Basic Shape
            hull(){
                square([thk*2+gap,length-thk*2-gap],center=true);
                translate([0,length/2,0]){
                circle((thk*2+gap)/2);
                }
            }
//take away centre
            hull(){
                square([gap,length-gap/2],center=true);
                translate([0,length/2,0]){
                circle(gap/2);
                }
            }
//Create hook
        translate([gap-.5,-length/2,0])
            square([gap+2,length],center=true);
        }
    }
//Hole for rope
    translate([-thk,-(length-thk*2-gap)/2+10,width/2])
    rotate([0,90,0])
    cylinder(thk*2,d=rope,center=true);
}
//Round off top and bottom
translate([gap/2+thk/2,0,width/2])
cylinder(width,d=thk,center=true);

translate([-gap/2-thk/2,-(length-thk*2-gap)/2,width/2])
cylinder(width,d=thk,center=true);

So far so good

Today I did some chores, had a manicure and pedicure and watched F1 and lots of rugby! :wine_glass:

It was an awesome day of sport! Even though we lost, Rugby won!

:point_up_2:t3::wine_glass: for me…

North beat the South big time. :grinning:
You should never underestimate your enemy even if it is Wales.

This should be on the rugby thread shouldn’t it?

Early dog walk before the heat built up, then the rest of the morning stripping the dogs long heavy coat off him before he gets heat stroke. My groomer has Covid so I’m having to do the job myself.

Funnily enough we’ve done the same with our dog Alfie.

I knew you would like it Harbal… :sunglasses:
By the way, I’ve not been flying the drone for a while… :frowning:
I temporarily lost it, I eventually found it half a mile away in a field.
I borrowed a smart phone to get the camera working, but I have to admit, I’m not a smart phone sort of person and trying to download the software using a touch screen with a mind of it’s own, and it did my box in… :rage:
So I’ve slung it in a cupboard…

Did a Covid lateral flow test in readiness for my operation on Tuesday. Result was negative thankfully. I tried to photograph the test strip using my mobile phone camera (as requested by the hospital) but the photos were absolutely crap. Instead I took a couple of shots using my Minolta bridge DSLR and kept the sharpest, clearest one. I shall have to take the SD card into hospital with me as proof. I’ve also reported the result to the NHS website and got a confirmation email back from them which I have printed off.

Congratulations - you can treat me to a coffee in McArthur Glen!

I have - put away most of the goodies I bought at the craft fair yesterday. Kept some out and made three cards - another one part made.

Drawn some necklace designs for a friend.

Made and Eaten a souffle omelette - with mushrooms and tomatoes.

Gien Nemo a rub down with a damp towel to keep him cool - suggested shaving off his fur - but he was not keen on that idea.

Had several cups of tea

Had dark thoughts about next door’s dog - he has been barking for the last 20mins - feels like hours - but it was 20mins. They have small visitors who have been teasing him. Thinking dark thoughts about them as well!

Need more tea now - might have to ogle Martin Shaw in something !

Tried to photograph some cobwebs. No good. Getting desperate.

I tried a few:
