What have you done today?

Cleaning and ironing.
Prepped some veg for pot roast brisket tonight.
Went online to check our holiday booking.
Enjoyed our meal.
Watched some TV and did some reading.
Another day over!

The eternal thing on here is, some prolific posters stopped, because they had something to do, most normal folks can do stuff, then document it later in the evening. :icon_wink:

Then, other folks grant them leave of absence. :grinning:

We had the tonsorial artist in this morning.

Chatted to my next-door neighbour about the fencing panels we are thinking about having installed. I wanted to make sure he is on-board with the type and style of them before going ahead and ordering them.

Cleaned the fluff filter out on our tumble drier as it was chock-a-block full.

Watched some of the Trooping of the Colour and hoped those protesters would be left so the soldiers could march and stamp on them.

Around here concrete fence posts are now cheaper than wooden ones. At a previous house we paid a lot for concrete posts but that was 35 years ago and pleased to report they are still going strong.

Which have you chosen?

Bus to Timberland to return the shoes that didnā€™t quite fit right, sandwich in Hyde Park, bus to IKEA: 3 jars of Herring with Dill, 1 jar of gherkins, home for Mexican cartel ongoing drama on Netflix, tuna mushroom pasta dish for supper.

Today we assembled the pergola for our Jubilee party.

Got some more washing done and dry.
Dealt with some internet work.
Popped out for some more strawberries to have after my Salmon steak tonight.
Then finally got my front garden planted up with Cosmos and Penstemons.
Then washed my hair, and am now sitting here with me rollers in, looking like Ena Sharples.

Ena Sharples or Nora Batty, I think youā€™ve just won my heart Mupsy, you little temptressā€¦
:sunglasses:
Took the bike out for an eleven mile run first thing. The bike computer I bought yesterday was rubbish. The sun was shining, and with no wind to speak of I flew round. But no statsā€¦

Breakfast and shower before the builders turned up to finish the wall, while I sunbathed in the back. Tired after the ride and jobs are piling up, must try harder tomorrowā€¦

Hah. Foxy, I do like to tease.
If you could only see my rollers and the Crocs on me feet, you would melt.:laughing:

Yes the jobs are piling up here too. I have had a problem with chapped fingers
so even cutting the grass has been a pain. I got some steroid medication earlier this week and it has has improved things. We have the Jubilee party here on Saturday so that grass WILL be curt!

That deserves a photo for my bedroom wall Mupsyā€¦

I donā€™t know where to start.

Glad to hear the steroid cream is working Besoeker. I hope the weather stays nice for the party.
We overlook the cricket pitch where there is a party and fireworks going off anytime soon. Iā€™m watching James Bond in Skyfall for the umpteenth time (I can practically recite the script) Mrs Fox has fallen asleep in the reclining chair, and my eyes are becoming heavy so Iā€™m off to bedā€¦

I had concrete as well as hardwood posts but have replaced them all with galvanised steel posts - by far the cheapest and more convenient than concrete.

Unleashed the hounds

Cleaned 8 pairs of spectacles. Checked our broadband speed after hooking up Vā€™s computer by ethernet cable to the router. Weā€™re getting really a wizzingly fast speed of 74Mb/s upload and 20Mb/s download even though Iā€™m paying for 59Mb/s. Now, why am I only getting download speeds of 350kb/s on my computer, which is only 2 brick walls and 6metres away from the router?
