What have you done today?

Any metalwork in the walls Percy, acting as a cage?

Not as far as I know, EZ, just good, relatively new 3 core wiring, solid brick and plaster walls.

Loads of stuff again, got to stop this.

Cleaned our holiday let.
had bacon sandwiches for lunch.
Washed all the linen from the above and hung it out.
Went to village green for fun day. Packed with people and weather was great.

Assuming you are using WiFi. Are you using 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz? which channels are you using? Which channels are your neighbours using? These are the questions you should be pondering perhaps

Had a coffee. Walked the hounds. Hopefully wake up soon.

I think you are missing the point Bruce, it’s more of an internal problem (I think)

My Internet is a lot faster when I use an ethernet cable instead of the wifi Percy.

Hi

I am using the NHS WiFi at the moment, incredibly fast.

What have I done today?
Nothing yet. - except had my brekkie, fed the dogs, and fed the wild birds.

Sorry but you are missing the point entirely not me. The ethernet is not affected by the neighbour’s system however your WiFi is, there are only 12 or 13 channels so if your router and your neighbor’s router is using the same or adjacent channels they interfere with each other and the correction system has to work hard to ensure an accurate transfer of information. This slows the transfer down.

An Australian error correction invention BTW, You’re welcome.

Channel 3 for example also covers channels 2 and 4 effectively the band is only three interference free channels. (I am talking about the 2.4Ghz band here).

BTW that is also the same frequency used by your microwave so if your Wifi drops out or is affected when the microwave is used then get it checked for RF leakage.

I’m using 5GHz. There are no other WiFi signals showing in the immediate area that have any significant strength.

Went to a car boot sale. Sunny at times but far too cold for June! Most people had coats on. Bought a CD and some birthday cards and a potato masher.

Don’t feel too good this afternoon so just resting.

Went for a walk to see the red arrows pass over this way .

Not much today, iffy weather, cooked bacon & egg for lunch (rare for us), Mrs d00d made rabbit stew (bought rabbit yesterday at Portuguese deli). It’s enough for 3 meals for 2, tonight + 2 meals in freezer.

I do apologise Bruce, I didn’t realise that other wifi in the area had an effect on mine.
