O M G. I have to admit that my lenses do have prisms included to prevent double vision. They also help greatly reduce the number of migraine attacks I get.
Got new varifocal sunglasses for my vision for £250. Plus one for the PC for 85.
Police officers can now wear sunglasses?
Nice explanation! All choices outta Africa have long since passed - I’m part of the jungle
I’m glad you had a wonderful experience! Traffic jams are part of the experience -don’t you think?
Nothing much done today.
But to make up for it I did it twice.
I was looking at the forecast for today (Tuesday) Wollongong 9° to 17°, Canberra 3° to 8°. I am booked to look after the dog there in a couple of weeks. Winter is coming tomorrow!
@Bruce we’re fast approaching the longest day our temps are forecast to reach the dizzy heights of 15c.
Cheap as chips, I paid $500 for my new glasses last year with the same/similar specifications. My only complaint is that the new sun sensitive lens are so good that when the sun is behind you only the part of the lens exposed to the sun darkens
Yeah that’s true … sometimes you see an undarkened band across the lens, but only when you first go out, and it soon goes.
It does indeed add up! About 5 years ago my OH went for new varifocals and the assistant kept offering him all those extras. Final bill was about £400. Two days later he went out for a walk with my daughter. He noticed his shoelace was undone, so he took his glasses off, placed them on top of a fence post, did up the lace and went off without them! a few minutes later he realised what he’d done and went straight back but they had gone.
he checked all the grass around the post and no sign of them. We never got them back despite asking at the local Police Station. They would be no use to anybody else because they were made to his prescription. Don’t know why people do this!
Fitted second gate to new posts, but adjustments are needed. Took myself off to B&Q for some nuts and bolts. Weather permitting I’ll make the adjustments today after my haircut. Or I may just slob about because I’m feeling tired after lugging the heavy metal gates in and out of the garage. A walk first to clear my head and think about what to do next.
Will be putting the recycling bins out ready for collection tomorrow in a while. Later this afternoon we’re off to visit the grand-nieces and then out for dinner with the family.
You should have put a few PSI into the innertube then nipping becomes difficult.
Yer, I did that Spitty, but the tyre lever had a sharp edge on it. I enlisted the help of Mrs Fox for the next one and didn’t use the suspect tyre lever. She has got quite a grip…
