I hope not.
Drove along the coast. Bought new sparkly flip flops and some animal print capri pants for holiday. Went in some lovely shops.
SO hot! Spent all afternoon in shade in garden reading.
Made big salad and new potatoes for tea.
Now in summerhouse with OH catching last rays.
I made my own Mediterranean beef stewerole. Iâm not sure if itâs a stew, a casserole, or something else. It is my very own recipe, though, and my current signature dish. Diced beef, some potatoes, and a bag of frozen Mediterranean roasting vegetables, plus half a pint of Bisto. I put it all in the slow cooker and let it bubble away from mid morning till early evening. Itâs edible. and there is enough for three meals, and is one of the few satisfactory things in my life. Sometimes I give it an exotic twist, and use lamb instead of beef, if I am in a whacky mood.
Have finally got my black curtains fitted in my bedroom - the street light across the road, and the permanently lit floodlight at the Scout Hut a few yards down the road along with the early sunrise have been disturbing my sleep for a long time now. The old cream-coloured curtains have been ceremoniously dumped in the bin.
Not a lot. The dogs of course, a visit to the docs office for a check up. Then my sister arrived from London. We had a beautiful dinner for chicken then a few nice glasses of white wine.
Gosh everyoneâs been so busy and productive!
Went for a walk with the dog .
Friends visited .
Did a bit of painting
You donât have to have black curtains. I have stone coloured linen look curtains with blackout linings which are white. They completely keep the light out. Hope you are getting some good sleep now.
Interesting to read what our fellow chatters have done âtodayâ.
Our lives differ so much and itâs always good to step outside ourselves and ponder on the daily issues affecting others.
Apart from the normal stuff, Iâve started to take apart a pallet, so I can, hopefully, reconstruct it to use as a garden table.
Getting the nails out was not easy.
Got a lift so I could do a bit of shopping.
I think youâll find that boils on the bum are a very common problem among long distance cyclists Harbal, itâs one of the main annoyances of riders on the Tour de France.
If your saddle is a wide comfortable one, it could well be the cause, and the narrow bum cutter type is usually preferred so the legs donât catch the saddle on the inside as they whir up and down.
I have also found, that if I havenât cycled for a long period of time my posterior does hurt for a few days after a long ride, but once it settles down it doesnât happen again.
To be precise, the boil is right at the top of my inside left leg. It doesnât rub against the saddle, but bears down on it, so it is pressure rather than friction that is the problem.
Mrs d00d is out visiting a friend this morning. I had an early lunch at McD. We are both going off to buy a sofa this PM.
Just got back from my visit to Chartwell. What a pad our Winston had.
My sister is here for a fey days. She canât walk very far and has to have a walker. Today we all walked up to visit a neighbour, Ozzieâs mum. My wife and I walked the dogs while my sister had a good natter with the lovely neighbour. They exchange tales of their walkersâŠ
I dealt with schoolchildren, came home, and now having a late lunch/early tea of roasted veggies & spicy potato slices. I also cleaned the carpet.
I know I donât. Just fancied a change
Took a stroll around the port and discovered the Cinderella Noel III built by Sunseeker, UK and ownwed by Swiss Konrad Schnyder which seems to be a bit out of place among the old fisher boats and sailing boats.
Got wet at 5.30am. Not much fun getting soaked along with three dogs.
Iâm not sure where Tour-de-France riders usually get their boils Harbal. They seem to get quite agitated when I ask to see them. The lady riders arenât to fussy though.
