What have you done in the garden today?

Where are you going to put it?
:icon_lol:

Behind the garage and away from any trees!

@pauline3 They are a bonny splash of yellow to cheer up a miserable day
I often plant a tub of those in Spring, then transfer them to one of the flowerbeds when theyā€™ve finished flowering and start with newly bought ones the next Spring.
I noticed yesterday that a lot of the old ones I have planted out in the flowerbeds in previous years are flowering already - little patches of bright yellows, purples and pinks among the snowdrops - very cheerful when thereā€™s little else flowering in my garden yet, apart from the tubs full of Winter pansies.

Thanks Boot, thatā€™s a good idea ,what you doā€¦I think slugs and snails love them as well, mine always seen to disappear when I plant them in the garden.

Yes, not all of mine survive the slugs when I plant them in the garden.
I plant them out after enjoying their first year in my patio pots, without much hope of them surviving in the garden until the next year but enough survive to give a splash of colour each year and I consider it a bonus!

Watched the glass being blown out of the greenhouse, lost around seven panes at the last count!

Ooh no, Barry.
Broken glass is horrible to clear up, splinters seem to get everywhere donā€™t they. :frowning:

Pauline yes they are so colourful, never had trouble with the slugs and snails eating them, but they donā€™t like getting dry. I lose a lot from that and have to replace them, it happens every year, this year Iā€™ve put a lot of home made compost in the hole when planting.

Thatā€™s terrible, is it safety glass?

Have you ever tried to grow Primulas/Primroses from seed Logan?
I have only succeeded once, they are notoriously hard to germinate.

Yes they do Mups, and they landed on an adjacent gravel area, but even worse itā€™s snowed on them overnight so thereā€™s no chance of cleaning them up yet!

We will just have to keep the dogs on a lead in the garden until Iā€™ve had chance to sort it, but no complaints really as there are many people whoā€™ve had much worse damage than us ā€¦ :dog:

Have you got a bit of chicken wire or something, you could just fence that bit off till you can sort it, Barry?

Well, I discovered a rather naff plastic hanging basket with plastic flowers in my garden today :hibiscus::hibiscus::basket:

No idea where it blew in from, itā€™s quite light, could be miles! I wouldnā€™t have liked to be out there and got it round the earā€™ole
:face_with_head_bandage:

Iā€™ve put it on the wall out front with a note on saying ā€œfound in my gardenā€, maybe someone will recognise it :crossed_fingers:

Or maybe youā€™ve got a secret admirer, Maree.

All sorted now @Mups , the area thawed out so we cleared every piece we could find then I raked all the tiniest bits in, then put a couple more bags of gravel on top so we are quite satisfied now that it is safe again.

Itā€™s a fact that glass is a wonderful material though, ā€¦until it smashesā€¦ :open_mouth:

Yes I have, they need to be put in the fridge after sowing for a few weeks. The wild primrose can be sown while still green but I havenā€™t tried that.
