What have you done in the garden today?

Tied up the new fruiting canes for next year on 2 of the loganberry plants, they grow so long.

A few days ago a fox dug up 2 wallflowers, one was ok to put back in but this one have hardly any roots left so i put it in some water to see, it’s picked up.

I want one where do I get it ?

Turned one compost heap out onto Rosemary’s borders then turned the other over and covered it up for the winter. Hopefully then come spring it will be perfect for the vegetable garden, which didn’t get any this year and the difference in fertility was quite noticeable…

Weeded a border and planted some hellebores and polyanthus.

Pulled up a lot of grass that was creeping into the border where the rhubarb was and cut back as much as i could of the brambles.

Too wet to do much now, managed to cut the grass Yesterday .

I sowed Sweet Peas in pots for next year , they are kept in the Cold Greenhouse …

The seeds are from this years plant

Anyone popped any wallflowers in yet? thinking of doing it at the weekend

Oh dear, i hope that you feel better soon, i know what that’s like. Well done in growing them yourself. There’s still time to put them in.

Taken some of the grass up and planted the rest of the polyanthus, they’re a bit small but should be alright, ordered some hyacinths to put there.

Pulling up a lot of ivy from around the Holly trees and also a lot of brambles that’s growing up them.

I trimmed my Lavateras back .

re edged the lawns, and forked the borders

In lieu of @Besoeker answering…

I bought a couple from Amazon, they weren’t very expensive but they are pretty useless in hard or stoney ground, they rip the drill out of your hand or just spin in the chuck. OK in softer ground.
