What have you done in the garden today?

Looked out the window at it. Far too much pollen around lately. Even my Claritin is struggling to fight it.

Did some watering and a bit of weeding.

Trimmed a long hedge very gently with shears so I didn’t disturb any possible nests.

Planted up 4 planters with cosmos, Snapdragons and pot marigolds. First i took out the tulip bulbs and put new compost in.

Worked today in the garden very hard doing my level best to do absolutely nothing.

Me too :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:Sat in it for about 3 hours with other residents from the block ,started watering plants about 5pm. then discovered a load of bindweed in the shrubbery so spent some time pulling it out.

The bedding plants are doing well and the snapdragons are all coming out in flower.

Removed dozens of stinging nettles coming under and over the fence separating us from the field. By the way, don’t forget to water your hanging baskets and containers once or twice a day during the really hot spell.

Stayed indoors - far too hot to be outside!

I agree. Much too hot to be outside. It’s actually 29.5c in my bungalow now. Three fans going in various points but all that does is move the warm air around. According to the weather guys it’s due to peak on Friday before the storms arrive.

I actually did something in our garden today - planted 3 new hardy fuchsias in our planter pots. They were on sale at our local garden centre (3 for the price of 2).
