Got some new pruners yesterday (I think thats what they are called) and trimmed back the big bush around the tree in the garden. It was really enjoyable snipping away but still needed to use the mulched as I got a bit carried away.

Looks a lot better but still needs more work so I’ll attack it again tonight after work. There is loads of ivy that needs pulling out too and a few holly branches so could get bloody and messy :lol:

I sat on our wooden garden bench for some time and never saw a bee-wasp or butterfly,don’t know if it is too early in the year but our Budlia are in full bloom which normally attracts them

We have quite a few bees around here, they tend to be hanging out around the dahlias.

Looking for what I would call an old fashioned cottage garden rambling rose , any suggestions folks ?

@caricature is it just the name that you wanted? This might help

Here’s another one, he says the name of each rose.

And this one

ive sowed
aquiliga and sweet william .

@caricature Your welcome

Finished weeding a border and tomorrow put the plants in.

Yesterday morning picked some pink currants, raspberries, loganberries, gooseberries and a few blueberries. In the afternoon i finished off the border and planted the rest of the Snapdragons and pot marigolds.

Got soaked - it is pouring down!
