Haven’t got much done today, just a bit of weeding, and took 5 Clematis cuttings.
Checked Dahlias for snails, and watered tomatoes.
sat and watched the heavy rain, loverly
Washed out both of the garden waste bins. Pheww did they need it!!
Re-potted my fuchsias and geranium. Discovered that my dahlias are poking through. Refilled my window bird feeder and chased away a marauding cat after the fledglings.
Going to sit out in the sun this afternoon and admire my handiwork.
Put out the garden waste bins for collection tomorrow morning.
I was out all morning, so just managed to get my grass cut this afternoon.
I wanted to get that job done because they are forecasting ‘thundery showers’ tonight.
Love the colours of these Iris. .
And my very pretty Weigela . .
And one very hot little girl, sunbathing . .
. . . And her friend . . . with a bit more sense in a shady spot . .
Finished pulling up the Wallflowers and Cinerarias, and sprinkled some fertiliser around and raked it in. I will replant the area with Cosmos and a few Penstemons next, but the Cosmos need to grow on for another couple of weeks first.
Beautiful Iris, lovely colours.
It looks like someone is trying to compete with your frog for the favourite ornament!
Sowed some more wallflowers and sorted the ones that have come up and put in proper seed trays. Thrown out the tomato plants that I didn’t want and re used the compost.
Do you always sow your Wallflowers this early Logan?
Won’t be doing mine till late June/early July probably, else they will need planting out while I’ve still got the summer bedding in.
finished off the summer planters, still got a few perennials to go in and i thinks thats it for the spending part of gardening, i’ll just sit back now
Yes Mups I find that they won’t germinate when it’s very hot and I pot them on when bigger and pinch the growing tip to make them bushy.
Planted 2 blueberry plants into their final pot and put some rootgrow into the hole.
Strimmed what purports to be a front lawn.
Got soaked!
Not much today just seeing if any of the wallflower seeds have come up.
Hi
My two home visits have gone, so been out, done some watering and cut down some more of the brambles and put them down where the cats are pooing in my garden.
Oh that’s a great idea, Swimmy! I might do that tomorrow, since all else seems to have failed me and they still think I made them giant litter trays!
