What have you done in the garden today?

oh wow , thats gorgeous, hope mine does as well .

That’s a beauty Mups!

What time of the year do you dig it up and divide it?

Thank you Eliza.

Mags, I should be doing it now really, but its either been too cold or I’ve had to go out, so haven’t done it yet.
It needs supports because sometimes it tends to flop all over theplace otherwise.
They also last well as cut flowers too.

Mine is the ‘shaggy’ sort of Daisy, (Superbum it’s called - seriously :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)
I always used to joke with dear old Dongle about it because he had a Superbum too. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks Mups, that’s worth knowing, mine is in its second year and appears to be shooting up in a big area. :slightly_smiling_face:

:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I remember Dongles and his “Superbum”!

I wish he was still here.

Yes, me too, Mags.
We keep in touch though, he is doing OK. I’ll say Hello for you.

(Sorry going off topic, folks)

I treated myself to another little patio rose today. I need another rose like a hole in the head, but there ya go.
It’s called - ‘Love Never Dies.’
Just waiting for it to be delivered now. Hope it is a nice healthy one and it does well here.

Had a chat over the fence with next door neighbour as I hadn’t seen him for weeks. Then checked the bird boxes - only 1 occupied again this year.

I have a very nice Pieris in a large tub. Lately it has been dropping a lot of leaves, so today I decided to check for any Vine Weevals munching away at the roots…
It was a heck of a job because it’s a large shrub now, and in a heavy stone tub, so it was pretty heavy.
Anyway, eventually I managed to get it tipped out and thankfully there were no weevals, but the roots were getting too tight in the tub and it was also too dry. So I went out and bought an even bigger tub, along with 2 bags of ericaceous, some Seaweed tonic, then repotted the whole thing.
I do hope I have saved it, it is so pretty with the ever changing leaf and flower colours.

I also got tempted and bought a very pretty pink Azalea, and repotted that as well, while I had a little ericaceous left over.

Repotted my tomato plants into bigger pots.
Repotted a couple of new Agapanthus I sent for.
Re-set some Cosmos seedlings after the ruddy snails got in my little growhouse!
Also potted on some Alpines.

Next on my list is repotting my Orchids, African Violets, Pelargoiniums, and the Carnivorous.
That’ll be enough to keep me out of mischief for a good while!

They love cool damp areas but the biggest of the monsters appear from these places after dark.

Someone whose name begins with ‘B’ ??

Not him @SilverTabby as he is pretty gentle with it and picks around the edges, this was a full on roll about in it. Fortunately no damage done as it is a pretty hardy plant when established.

Wisn’t me.

Cleaned up my shed. Was necessary because I didn’t get round to it last year. Now it’s looking spick and span.
