i’ve let the rain happily fall on it
They will be fine, that’s what Monty Don does.
Bought some azaleas or rather rescued them, 3 for £10 , they looked sorry for themselves, good soak over night and a feed once looking sprightly enough we’ll put em in the ground.
I think I will be mending a fence later…this mum and her babies were doing their best to come visit my garden yesterday
its nice having neighbours like that summer
Thanks for that Logan. Dividing the tuber was interesting.
I am going to risk put my new dahlia tubers in this weekend. I hope there won’t be any late frosts
(Good to see you, Vlad )
Hiya, bought some new pots from Aldi, my terracotta ones were frost damaged so I have to do some transplanting. What have you been up to and how are you?
I haven’t got the room in my garden for Dahlias unfortunately but my Dad used to grow some beauties, all colours and sizes.
I’m fine Vlad thanks, enjoying ‘putting my feet up’.
You can grow some in pots, but anyway I am glad to hear you are fine, anything exciting happening on here? I pop in now and again just to read some posts.
Thanks, I think that’s what Mups does with her dahlias so I may try that.
Nothing too exciting happening here at the moment.
I am going to plant up some smaller dahlia’s this season, I am fed up with staking tge tall varieties
Your welcome and that’s great, I’ve divided tubers and it does work.
Today just checking on the bedding plants that I’m growing, pinching out the growing tips of the cosmos, dead heading some of the daffs and put some chicken pellets on them then watered them in.
I was watching Gardeners World and they did a segment on daffs, like you I have always dead headed, but apparently you only need to dead head those daffs in container…I can’t bloody remember why though so I am going to give it a try
Didja bring my mate Fat Kev with you, or is he still in the cellar Over There?
He is part of the fixtures and fittings, but I am sure he can be persuaded to come over if the employment package is good.
watered the ferneries and raised border
