Thanks Logan, but mine mostly are in tubs anyway, mainly because I haven’t got enough space in my flower beds any more.
Thats a good idea about starting them off in small pots that I could bring indoors though, then I suppose I could transplant them to their bigger tubs little later, as long as they didnt object to being uprooted and moved twice? Hmmm . . .

They will be fine, that’s what Monty Don does.

Bought some azaleas or rather rescued them, 3 for £10 , they looked sorry for themselves, good soak over night and a feed once looking sprightly enough we’ll put em in the ground.

Hiya, bought some new pots from Aldi, my terracotta ones were frost damaged so I have to do some transplanting. What have you been up to and how are you?

I haven’t got the room in my garden for Dahlias unfortunately but my Dad used to grow some beauties, all colours and sizes.

Thanks, I think that’s what Mups does with her dahlias so I may try that.

I am going to plant up some smaller dahlia’s this season, I am fed up with staking tge tall varieties

Today just checking on the bedding plants that I’m growing, pinching out the growing tips of the cosmos, dead heading some of the daffs and put some chicken pellets on them then watered them in.

I was watching Gardeners World and they did a segment on daffs, like you I have always dead headed, but apparently you only need to dead head those daffs in container…I can’t bloody remember why though so I am going to give it a try
