Are you casting a spell?
Today I have put up a new washing line ably assisted by Buttons who also checked on the garden refuse wheelie bin.
Cats are so helpful, arenāt they?
They certainly like to think so.
I will certainly be up for it.
Do the bins take themselves away unless tethered.
Certainly do if it is windy.
Watered the plants and seedlings, getting aphids on them so sprayed them with washing up liquid.
after a day out, just sat and had a cool beer
Its minus degrees outside, with hail! Where are you - Barbados??!!
sprayed the gravel path, cut back some perennials in the wild garden
I got my grass cut yesterday at last.
Transplanted some wild Primroses, divided a couple of Irises, checked my seedlings in the little growhouses, did some weeding, planted some Gladioli bulbs, then started digging up that awful Creeping Buttercup weed, it gets everywhere.
Have other members started their Dahlias off yet? Every time I am going to do it, another frost is forecast! Grrr . . .
I put my all out in pots I expect they have all died now
@Mups if you can start your dahlias in pots inside they will be fine, if not have to wait for the last frost, for me thatās the end of may but they will catch up. I donāt grow them anymore, havenāt got anywhere to put them now and the slugs usually get them.
Thanks Logan, but mine mostly are in tubs anyway, mainly because I havenāt got enough space in my flower beds any more.
Thats a good idea about starting them off in small pots that I could bring indoors though, then I suppose I could transplant them to their bigger tubs little later, as long as they didnt object to being uprooted and moved twice? Hmmm . . .
We got a bag of soil ready for the peas we are going to grow. It wasnāt enough so we didnāt plant the peas yetā¦
Iāve been busy trying to get some order back in my gardenā¦the house was empty for a few years and although there was a man who was supposed to look after the place all he did really was cut the lawns.
Iāve just had a big old rotten greenhouse removed and lots of trees taken down so the place is looking a bit forlornā¦I have lots of ideas though so just have to get on with itā¦its hard work gardening
I think thatās a good and enjoyable time and to sort it out and yes itās hard work sometimes.
