Stayed indoors - it is pouring with rain![/quote]
We actually avoided the early rain this morning and has been fairly since. The garden? Not a lot.

Good heavens.
That’s reminded me that Marge reminded me to do that a couple of days ago.
I had forgotten.
Hopefully she’s forgotten as well.
She’s probably already done it…
Ooh no. If she hadn’t forgotten about it I’d be hearing about it every minute of every day!
Well what to do is go and do it, and say you were waiting for the weather to be right.
Not an option, I’m afraid. The weather here has been excellent.
Exactly! You can’t cut grass when its too dry…its better with a touch of dampness about it…you get a cleaner cut that way.
Probably so. I should have it done it this morning. But I’m a lazy git. Tomorrow we takes the dogs then we need to post some packages for the post office plus some items for Ozzie’s mum. Then we will walk grocery store story, Max in tow. Once we have done that I might be a bit less inclined to do the grass. But then my excuse - I’m 75 years old.
You tell Marge that!
Not doing much in the garden it’s too cold and anything can wait. Hubby has almost finished doing all the roses, just got one to do.
Ive started to put Orange Peel round the base my Roses , Ive read they will keep Aphids away …
I will let you know if it works .
Just about to go and trim the top of a shrub.
nowt…
Me too. I have a wife to do those sort of things.
Nothing at all today.
It is too cold, grey and drizzly to be out there.
We have a gardener/garden planner coming tomorrow to have a chat with us about what we want to do with our back garden. He’s already quoted us £25 to mow the lawn which I don’t think is too bad a price to pay for at least 2 hours work.
I cut it myself. About an hour. I’m not that ancient yet…
Sounds like a meadow not a lawn.
Lawn.
I measured it this morning. It’s approximately 300sq m and slopes like the take-off ramp on a modern aircraft carrier.
@Besoeker - I’m not that ancient either but that operation I had nearly 2 years ago, really knocked the stuffing out of me, and I’m still nowhere near back to full fitness.
