What have you done in the garden today?

Sprayed weed killer in the front garden. Exciting stuff…

I painfully learned that 5 hours of physical labour really kicked the sh** out of me.
All I did was replace some timbers around the top of my shed, respray the shed along with a very solid wooden bench and planter and I feel I have done twelve hours on a concrete pour.
This morning I ache in places I had forgotten I had.:smiley:

Well its going to be a wonderful sunny day for us, so I think some sitting around in the warmth will do you good :+1:

I think lying around in my bed is the preferred choice as there are no pesky stairs to and from it.:smiley::smiley:

Ahh yes, of course…stairs are the bane of our backs. Well at least you can open windows wide and let the sunshine in :sun_with_face:

Why do you want to kill me, what have I ever done to you?
I am in Scotland and sunshine at this time of the year does not equate to warmth and given the position of my flat I actually get very little sunshine through the windows throw in hypothyroidism for good measure and the windows will remain tightly shut.:smiley:

Oh my word, such drama! :joy:

In case you hadn’t realised, I’m in Scotland too - an hour west of you. I know the pernickity nature of our sunshine… which is why I thought making the most of it would be a good idea. But if it doesn’t work for you, then I’ll bottle some and send it through. 1 gentle dose a day should work

I’ll have you know I have just ventured down the stairs to the back green to top up the various feeders and check on my spray work to see if I have missed any bits, but looking good.
Its bright and crisp and nippy.

Ok well that’s a good start…later (around 2’ish) its going to hit a whopping 14 degrees :scream: That’ll be time to batten down the hatches in cases we get burned. I shall be outside (wearing a hat and sunscreen) clearing out leaves and debris, turning over earth and planting things.

Bracing myself to take him for a walk I am not too sure of the benefits of fresh air a nice bit of warm smog can be comforting !

Life is easy in the Garden now, might go out and “Jet Wash” it later. :icon_wink:

You mean you don’t have grass?

Yes I do but, with the rechargeable mower, its a five minute task to cut, the rest can be jet washed.

I didn’t know you could jet wash grass…clearly you don’t get enough rain where you are!

Yesterday I pricked out my young tomato seedlings and potted them on, then did the same with the Cosmos seedlings.
I also potted up some Penstemon plugs I bought, just to grow them on a little until I plant them out.

Today I shall cut the grass, it’s is really growing quite quickly now. Second cut already.
I also have 5 new roses to plant, mostly in tubs, so must get cracking.
