I’m getting towards the end of Apple Tree Yard and reading your comments, now I can’t wait to get to bed and finish it.
Much, much better than the T.V. series, but then, books always are, I think.

A fascinating character his life after being Laurence of Arabia must have been a let down .

I’m reading the boy made of blocks by keith stuart its about a boy with autism and him and his dad bonding over the game minecraft . It very good and I work with autistic children so I can relate to some triggers for Sams reactions.

I am reading You Belong to Me - Ann Rule, an excellent true crime author.

I am about to start reading Spectacles by Sue Perkins of Great British Bakeoff fame.

Struggling a bit with this one, can’t wait till I finish it and get onto something more cheerful !

Julie, why struggle with a book? Put it down/away and choose something to enjoy. Life’s too short.

ive just started reading Nigel by Monty Don.

Ripper, by Patricia Cornwall. Apparently he was Walter Sickert (maybe).

Azz quick question I have the kindle app on my iPad .
Do the books stay in it or can you only read them if you have an internet connection ?

Muddy, if you go into the Kindle app, you should see your library of books. There will then be a download arrow under each title, and if not already on your device, you can then download it to read at any time.

Thank you

I’ve just started I’m Travelling Alone by Samuel Bjork… It’s a Scandi thriller, cracking, can’t put it down!

Right now reading “The 16th Century Literature”

Just finished reading “A Winter’s Haunting” by Dan Simmons. I love his books - especially “Terror” and “Drood.”

I’m on book six of surviving the evacuation by frank Tyrell a really interesting take on the zombie genre. Some really well thought out characters.

I’m about half way through “A Mothers Sacrifice” by Kitty Neale.

I’m halfway through " A Quiet Dell" by Jayne Anne Phillips.
It’s about a family that disappeared in the 1930’s in West Virginia. Based on a true story.
I usually read crime or horror books, this is the most disturbing book I’ve ever read.
