What are you listening to right now?

He is very much still about as far as I know.
Not all that long ago he and Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull delivered a petition to the Treasury regarding the Copyright protection term.
I guess in the scheme of things that will have got forgotten.

I agree Joe, Sam is very like her mother Vicki, another soul taken all to soon. It seems a long time since those days at the Hackney Empire yet just a blink of the eye really. The Vernons Girls will still remain a bit special.

I think both girls worked on Pink Floyd stuff at some time in their careers. I know Sam did as I have seen her at a concert or two and her contribution on the perennial ‘Great Gig In The Sky’ is still ranked as one of the best versions.

This is a solo from Sam.
For Once In Your Life

Just for balance, Vicki Brown, I believe her last song for us to savour.
Look for me in Rainbows

I have the DVD and we both like the film a great deal. I have seen a couple of other good Guillermo del Toro films and will post in the film and book section.

Knee Deep - Zac Brown Band (country music)

A pleasant tune to erase the memories of another wet Sunday and calm those who still have to work next week.

From the very excellent Loreena McKennitt.
The lady Of Shalott

How lovely  ,The Lady of Shalott has always been a favourite poem of mine I did not know it had been set to music :-p

Another enjoyable one from Loreena McKennitt.

Greensleeves

What a lovely voice Hammer, didnt know her but have put her on my Fav list.

Bright Eyes - Art Garfunkle (on the radio)

Aww, that always makes me think of Watership Down :frowning:

It reminds me of the time I took a children’s party to the cinema Meg for a birthday treat - We all went to see Watership Down and all the children ended up crying and hysterical - I had a right job trying to explain it was only a story to a bunch of overwrought 10 year olds. Whatamistaketomake

Aerolor darlin’ - I too used to like Simon & Garfunkel in my yoof. This was one of their best: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pey29CLID3I

Was taught the words to this by Julie Felix - remember her??? whilst sharing a banner on a CND march many, many years ago.

I do remember Julie Felix Uncle Joe and the great Joan Baez.
El Condor Pasa is a good one of Simon and Garfunkle’s and I still like - The Boxer, Sound of Silence, Old Friends/Bookends, Cecilia - remember those?
Wasn’t the music great in our youth? - a lot of stuff had a message to give out, stirred something important in us. The messages in the music meant something. Also it’s stood the test of time.
