What are you listening to right now?

Sorry dont go with Alfie Boem y favourite is Colm Wilkinson, saw him in Liverpool in Les Mis.Wow.

I do enjoy opera Uncle Joe, but I am selective about what I like. That piece I do love - must be my Jewish blood, but it always sends shivers down my spine - As you say a bit different with Nana Mouskourri doing it - nice, but lacks a bit of something, I think.
Paul Robeson is also one of my husband’s favourites - a magnificent voice.
Have you ever heard of someone called Valentine Pringle - another great voice? He is dead now (murdered), but I will always remember seeing him in Porgy and Bess. I will never forget his compelling presence on stage and his marvellous voice. I can’t find him on You Tube. (not that I could put it up anyway).

Long tall Sally, she’s neat,
She’s got everything uncle tom needs.

Tom “the Voice” Jones . . . the only man I know who can wear out trousers from the inside.

Listening to Rumer singing Alfie at the mo. :023:

I love the lyrics of this song . . . it’s about Tyneside but could apply to Clydeside as well, or any other shipbuilding community . . . hatchet Thatcher closed them all . . . may she rot in the infernal region when it’s her time . . . she ruined thousands of lives and the best industries we had in the UK.

A little of Jethro Tull:
From the album Roots To Branches
