And it smells absolutely delicious too!
Lidl are doing some nice ready-to-eat salmon. They’re calling it “hot smoked”, tastes neither hot nor smoked but tasty boneless half a side for about £9: skin on, lots of omega-3. Serves four.
Nice with potato salad, cherry tomatoes, gherkins …
Since we’re going out for lunch today it’s going to be something quick and straight forward this evening. Chilli jnr will be having pizza with garlic bread. I have a pack of chicken drumsticks in the fridge. I’ll either just apply a spicy rub and bung them in the oven or make a sticky honey, soy sauce with sesame seeds type marinade.
Oh! Needless to say I’m going for Angel Delight for dessert, just can’t get enough of the stuff these days…
That all looks really delicious!
I baked our traditional Easter pie yesterday, shortcrust pastry filled with milky cooked wheat, ricotta, eggs, candied fruit, lemon rind and a dash of orange blossom water. It will be our dessert today and maybe some for breakfast this morning.
I can see that there’s a lot of care and attention gone into that Rose, it looks scrumptious! I really like the idea of the orange blossom water
Is that traditional Italian? I’ve never heard of it! I must get out more. MMmmm
I had some amazing roast duck with rice in ChinaTown the other day, and was given a sauce served separately in a little bowl … the same as your marinade. MMmmm
Sounds delicious d00d!
Although we’ve been shopping in Gerrard Street many times we’ve never actually eaten there, something to add to the to do list
About £40 for lunch: a couple of spring rolls as a starter, half a duck, double portion of fried rice, no drinks or pudding, £40 for two.

It’s our regional speciality @d00d, especially in Naples. It’s called “pastiera”.
Battered fish, oven chips. peas, mushrooms and an orange.

Chicken Korma with a naan bread
You don’t see many black people cooking, but this guys good. That’s coconut he adds to the rice. I know what I’m having tonight.
Had an Asda minced beef hotpot. Not bad for an instant meal.
Chicken Curry with rice, an old favourite, but this time made with Pataks Madras … a little hotter than usual, but nice. Thanks @Chilliboot for showing a pic of the jar that encouraged me to get some.
Chilli Con Carne, An Asda ready-made meal. An orange and a nectarine.
