Me & Mrs d00d had our pre Christmas lunch out at Mrs Chews.

Kings Prawns in chilli sauce, Roast Duck, both served with jasmine rice. We shared, both absolutely delish, highly recommended.

We had sausages and beans for supper, the kind of rubbish food we all crave once in a while.

I was pleasantly surprised by the juicy M&S sausages I bought this morning, the best I’ve had in years. Highly recommended. Twenty mins in a low oven.

Fish, Baked Beans, sliced Zucchini, & a dill pickle. + Cream n coffee.

Lunch was chicken breast fillets with mushrooms and broccoli.
Dinner was just a salad with tinned mackerel.
No pasta today.

Thanks for that always on the lookout for good sausages cannot seem to settle.

Please let me know what you think.

Do not prick, cook slowly in oven.

I never prick the sausages and i fry them in the frying pan very slowly, don’t have to put a lot of oil in.

My gas hob rings won’t cook slow enough, the flame is near non-existent but still too fast. The bangers are likely to bang!

I find the oven or grill more satisfactory for things like that.

I am not a fan of cumberland at all, plain and simple.I am going to MS tomorrow and will buy the first you suggested and try them Sat. I also suggest you try their cranberry sauce very nice.

will do :sunglasses:

I was spoiled with a cheese and cracker platter accompanied by a glass of Prosecco.
This was followed by lamb briyani and peppermint tart for Mother’s Day.

For Mother’s Day, I cooked tagliatelle with bolonaise sauce, steak and salad as a second course. Then we had delicious pastries from the best bakery in town. A very good Barbera red wine, too.
