Looks tasty Dianne!

Dripping, That was it, I couldnā€™t remember the name. After cooking lamb I sometimes save the dripping to put on toast, my kids think it is disgusting!

Yes it wasā€¦the Yorkshires though go from high to flatā€¦one thing that I never know how is it going to beā€¦Not that I get complaints, just see this keep occurringā€¦

Scampi, Chips and Peas.

Home made chicken leek & mushroom pie out of the freezer today with mixed greens and mashā€¦

That brings back memories of my childhood. We used to have dripping both on toast and on bread, more like a sandwich as it was one slice folded in half. If I recall correctly there were two parts to the dripping, the more solid white was on top with another part, more like the colour and consistency of thick gravy, underneath. Both were delicious though, I do remember that. We were always told it kept the cold out in winter so was good for us. Todayā€™s health people would definitely not approve, thatā€™s for sure!
:grinning:

Well you didnā€™t die or fall ill from eating it, so there must be something beneficial. Not that I would like to try it :face_vomiting: But to be fair, from the google images I have seen, it just looks like cheese soā€¦yeah I think Iā€™ll take your word for it all the same! :joy:

Thatā€™s quite correct and during my childhood I was very seldom unwell either. Thatā€™s like some folk older than me, often those who were farmers working in agriculture, who used to regularly have an egg and bacon breakfast, not just on Sundays but many days of the week too. All that fat is supposed not to be good for us but many of them lived to a very good age, despite their ā€˜poor eating habitsā€™. They must have been doing something right.

Maybe there is something in the phrase ā€œhearty breakfastā€ after allā€¦

:023: Yes, could be, although that could be taken both ways I guess. Good for keeping the cold out as it is ā€˜greasyā€™ but then not good for the heart as fat is not supposed to be good for us. Lifeā€™s too short I reckon, eat what you enjoy but in moderation is how I see it these days.

Exactly!

A little bit of what you fancy, does you good :+1: I donā€™t believe in depriving yourself. Still not having any bread and dripping thoughā€¦ :joy:

You donā€™t know what youā€™re missing ā€“ absolutely delicious!

KFC!! :biking_man:

Home made fish pie from the freezer today, it re-heats very easily in the microwave and makes for a very quick and easy meal when you are busy. Looks like itā€™s the last portion though, so next time Iā€™ll have to make one fresh.

Sounds nice, anything ā€˜chickenā€™ for me these days, other than the odd bacon sandwich.
Iā€™ve rather gone off other meat.
:grinning:

Yes I only eat white meat, chicken, pork or fish.

Lunch - fresh mackerel cooked in butter and served with salad.

Dinner - Spaghetti Bolognese with homemade garlic bread.
