What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 2)

I’ve been invited out for a meal … :041:

The Actifried chips were okay, better than I expected to be fair so tonight I’m trying a chicken, mushroom & broccoli stir fry in it & if it turns out like this photo I will be happy.

Tuesdays it’s breaded plaice fillet with baked potato and salad with sweet corn and grated raw beetroot and a piece of strong cheddar, Hubby has 3 slices of wholemeal bread and vitalite spread.

Yesterday’s Actifried stir fry was okay although in honesty I prefer it done on the hob which, being an induction one, cooks it faster which benefits-stir fries.

This evening it will be pasta bolognese with meatballs and side salad and some garlic bread.

Tomorrow is Sunday, so the fatted calf will be wheeled in. Well, actually, it will be a joint of roast beef (sirloin) and enough for two + sandwiches for later around 18:30 :+1:

My old man loved fried egg sandwiches, the only problem was that he liked them on road trips so he would create the sandwich at 7am and eat it after noon, by then they were just a blob of grease (this was the days when lard was for frying.

Funny thing is I used to love lard sandwiches, they are something you never see these days!

@Bruce my dad used to have dripping sandwiches, these days it’s too unhealthy to have them.but can still get lard.

Today is roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with the veg.
Pudding is autumn pudding, it’s the same as a summer pudding but just changed the name, only because i have the bread to use up.
