What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

I like the look of that I love pork Pork, chicken, lamb in that order not a great lover of roast beef but like stew or casserole

I’m not much of a one for adding fruit to meat. I won’t even eat gammon with a pineapple ring on it. However, having said that, I have been known to drizzle the juice from an orange on gammon, and it’s deeeelish!

Anyway, a couple of Saturdays ago I won a tenner on the lottery and it’s been burning a hole in me purse since then so tonight I treated meself to fish, chips and peas from the local Chinese.

The fish was approximately 12" long, the small portion of chips which I asked for could feed 20,000, and I got a tub of peas! I’ve eaten half the fish, a few chips and some of the peas, so there’s more left for another meal!

Have taken chicken breast out of freezer this morning and its still quietly defrosting. I have (Iceland) oriental veg mix, I have (Iceland) Egg fried rice, I have Chow mein, sweet and sour, Black bean and garlic, or Hoi Sin Chinese sauces or I also have Lime & Cocoanut, or Korma Indian sauces - just a question of which one I fancy in a few minutes when I come to actually prepare and cook my meal.

Lime and coconut sounds yummy :-):-)

Chicken breast with veg and a creamy peppercorn sauce.

Sorry Hazel darlin’ - turned out to be black bean and garlic sauce with noodles too.

Dill & pepper salmon with green beans. Made cheeseburgers for the rest of the household. Now I’m enjoying my chamomile tea and an orange.

Had chicken salad for tea . Iam hungry again so I`m going to have some cheese and crackers .

My favourite snack is that. I may well join you.

Joy, Mall darlings, only if you have the Port to wash it all down.

I don’t like port, it would have to be wine for me.

slightest excuse and out comes the booze eh UJ ??;-)

Pouched eggs on toast not had them for ages, it was all my parents wanted to eat when i called in to see then after work today, both been off colour, so decided to join them, and really enjoyed it

tomorrow will be a meal out if all goes to plan as i have a few days off

Do I need an excuse Hazel darlin’??? - absolutely not. Am now adding Brandy to my coffee every morning - on your advice.

today, as in Saturday we are having roast beef with the usual
trimmings and on Sunday lamb

We have had steak and onions and chips ,by eck it was good .

Went out to buy a new toaster…the smell from the fish and chip shop was too much…it was delicious

Off to a barbeque at our Irish neighbours house, they are over on holiday and have a “celebratory” barbie every time. I can hear their two children having fun in their pool from here, it’s always a fun night.

Home made chicken and ham pie, sugar snap peas, carrots julienne and home made chips. Home made custard tart for dessert.

Not had Chicken and ham pie for over 40 yrs (hint ,hint) old lady 81 used to bake Mondays & Wednesdays in a coal fired back to back oven bread, pies, cakes, scones all beautiful.
