What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Bacon joint roasted, with lots of veggies. The joint should last a couple of days  just as long as we don’t get visitors.

Jan darlin’ - studded with cloves and smothered in honey and mustard - delicious!!!

It is smothered in honey, but I couldn’t find the cloves - I must have thrown them when we had the new kitchen  They were probably out of date!

Jan darlin’ Cloves are DRIED!!! - they don’t go out of date !!! - Have had a jar in my cupboard for about 2 years now.

BBQ …smells yummy …:038::038::038::038::038:

we went out
for breakfast so not having lunch will have a snack at 2 pm  frut and a yorgert

well there you go some good luck for you it’s ben p#@@ing down here since about 1.30pm and it’s freezing cold I’ve had the heating on. Hope you’ve had a lovely time.:lol:

I’m going to suggest fish ‘n’ chips to Mom today as I don’t think it’s offered on the menu at her long-term care home. There’s a good shop close by where I can pick up dinner for both of us.

What??? - no Sunday roast Annie darlin’??? - that’s letting the side down darlin’. Sure there must be a restaurant close by to your Mum’s Care home that serves ‘proper’ Sunday meals.

Fish caught locally with chips etc at a restaurant overlooking the sea in Poole. Lovely place and I had a great time with good company.

Nice company, nice food, is all you can ask for a nice day out:038:

Bubble and squeak, with the last of the bacon joint. The bacon was only a fiver and I cut it in half - one half is still in the freezer  How’s that for value? and it was delicious.

toss up between steak and chips with salad or braised steak with barley, lentils, carrot, celery and onion in bubbling gently away in slow cooker, with a crusty cob.:lol:

cheesy chips

what’re cheesy chips BYW did like the noodles, beans & cheese.

Beef stew with herby dumplings followed by rhubarb and ginger crumble and yoghurt.:-D:-D

fries with melted cheese on them bootifull

Well the Grandson loves cheese and potato pasties so could be nice stupid of me I like baked potato with grated cheese melted in.

I had a baked potato with cheese earlier, but I’m just cooking some home-made chicken supreme with mushrooms and boiled rice.

We’ve had friends round for dinner tonight, started with smoked salmon mousse, which was really good, main course was roast pork with oranges and olives, dessert was called “juicy lucy”, made with fruits of the forest, blueberry jam, pears and with a breadcrumb and butter topping. This is the roast pork:
