What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Sounds delicious Geoff -
Ham salad lunch here, quite boring and light but I’m going to have a chicken stir fry later, with mango for afters.

I had to look up what a Blesbok is. An antelope. I wonder is it anything like venison. You will have to let us know.

Ok folks, I can declare with all honesty - Blesbok casserole is simply delicious and I will certainly be placing more orders to the company that delivered it me.

Jan darlin’ - just a thought - slice Mangoes, make batter and make pancakes/Crepes, add the slices of the mango, pour a little Brandy over the crepes in the frying pan (be careful if it flames!!!) serve with some icecream on the side and a little more Brandy.

Oh Geoff, if only I’d seen your post earlier. Never would have thought of crepes, we ate the mango sliced with ice cream.
Glad you enjoyed your Blesbok

Jan darlin’ - there’s always a next time!!!

I’m pleased you enjoyed your meal UJ, your description of cooking it certainly sounded mouthwatering.

Mags darlin’ - now I’ve shown you all the way - perhaps others on here can follow in my footsteps. Safari or exotic meats are fabulous - very tasty, and very healthy as there’s no fat. Still have the kangaroo in my freezer for another day.

My problem is that I always stick to what I know … I never have been one for experimenting!

Come on Mags darlin’ - first time for anything - be adventurous!!!

I’ll adopt the coward’s way out and wait for someone else on here to try it first, UJ!

But Mags darlin’ - I already have - come on, come and join me. You have my recipe - just follow that and I prom ise you’ll have a most satisfying and tasty casserole.

Not a Dang Thing…Mouths too Sore. :cry::cry::cry:

Roxy darlin’ - what’s the matter??? - what happened??? - you had a dental appointment or something???

Well, because of my teeth problems, I’ve been having “easy to eat” food for the time being, and I made a rather lovely home-made chilli con carne which, translated, is chilli with meat. I can’t abide kidney beans so I put in some chopped green peppers, and had plain white rice with it. Deeeelish! No packet potions for me, nor tins, nor jars - all home-made.

Chicken liver curry with rice, dog had the same, all homemade we both love it, mind you I’ve noticed the dog likes anything I do including pea soup (cold).
We’re on Salmon with new pots today(don’t know whether salad or veg yet) dogs got salmon and pot complete dry food so will put him some salmon and the juices on too, he likes that.

dogs got salmon and pot

Pot Hazel darlin’??? - would that by any chance be spliff???:lol::lol:

spliff?? I don’t know what that is UJ but friend keeps calling me a crackpot must find out if that’s what he means. Pot-atoes as you very well know ;-):lol:

Very versatile are chicken livers. I mince them with chicken breasts, garlic and herbs and use the mix to fill cannelloni tubes. It’s not the kind of mix you can buy and I favour making my own mince.

Spliff, Hazel darlin’ is cannabis - but was once referred to as ‘pot’ - hence my ‘little joke’.

I’ll give that a try it sounds nice and I’ve got more in freezer, kids might like it too, dog will he likes pasta (presume it’s pasta??)
