What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

anyone eating today  its to hot to eat much, and we are sick of salad, we all had a ham roll at lunch time.

No idea what, if anything to have later

Same here Kitty , had a full monty breakfast this morning , but cant be bothered now , like you say to hot to eat much .

I’ve eaten very little today as well. :frowning:

It takes more than hot weather to put me off my food  We just had a sandwich at lunchtime & a couple of biscuits - as normal & then had Sirloin Steak, Jersey Royal Potatoes, Broccoli, Carrots & some fried Mushrooms for tea. Followed by Fresh Fruit Salad & yogurt.
Had my normal Museli for breakfast.
Very nice it was too

had fish chips and mushy peas about 7pm when it cooled down a bit, dog had the same

Isn’t it silly? I barely eat enough to keep a fly alive but today in this heat we had a full roast and I ate the lot followed with choc profiteroles.

Good for you Mary darlin’ - well done!!!

we are having home made chicken pizza tonight, just made the dough and put to raise, and the chicken is poaching

Grilled salmon and salad for me…

I also eat very little but, having said that, tonight I had two rashers of bacon, some mushrooms fried in butter and a negg!

That was at normal tea-time but, at 8 p.m. I had the munchies again, which is normal for me, and I peeled a potato and had a little plate of chips! Not had chips for the longest time!

ham and tomato rolls for dinner and some fruit and ice-cream

Oh Kitty darlin’ - that’s not enough to keep a fly alive!!! I made a chicken casserole for lunch yesterday and in the evening had some Brie cheese on cheese cracker biscuits and managed to wash it all down with a glass of Port.

Made a mistake today - forgot to take meat from freezer last night (its now defrosting nicely ready for tomorrow) so had ‘bangers, mash and peas. The man from Sainsburys’ having delivered my bottle of Port, I can now use some of it for the marinade tomorrow. Meat is to be Blesbok - will let everyone know what I think of it tomorrow.

Ok folks, have started the Blesbok casserole. Marinaded the meat in 1/2Pt Port, drained and tossed in plain flour, chopped an onion and a few chestnut mushrooms and fried them till they softened, added the meat into the frying pan and fried for a few minutes, scooped out band placed in slow cooker, added the veg to the frying pan (carrot, parsnip, leek, celeriac, and a few (frozen) mixed peppers) and fried for a few minutes. Placed a heaped teaspoon of bisto powder and an oxo cube to the marinade and poured that over the veg. As it started to heat and thicken, poured all the ingredients over the meat in the slow cooker and switched on. The smell in my kitchen at the moment is gorgeous!!!
