We are on a bit of a diet to try to lose half a stone that we’ve put on over winter, so lunch will be salmon on a bed of roasted new spuds, carrots and french beans, followed by stewed fruit (580 calories in total).
Out for Lunch again today (monday n wednesdays) so I’m guessing it will be a Sandwich and Latte, that’s my usual Lunch Time Fare.
There was a pub here in Brighton Raven darlin’ that used to do sandwiches - steakwiches a large piece of steak with onions slapped between two slices of bread - was fabulous!!! - sadly no longer.
We must visit that Geoff when we ever get to Brighton. Sounds really nice and we both love steak butties with onions.
We are having a roast chicken dinner tonight, it was going to be lamb hotpot but Moz decided to change the menu, much to my annoyance as I love hotpot. (Men)!
Don’t ever call us women for being indecisive:mad:
Silly me you said it has closed, tut oh well you will have to find somewhere else for us to visit.
There is a pub, right in the centre of town which I sometimes frequent for for lunch - yes Kath darlin’ - I can thoroughly recommend it too!!!
Today I bought some Atlantic salmon which I’ll have over the weekend with some asparagus and I’ll do a potato type thing as well, but not sure what yet.
Also, I’m going to try to make my own Hollandaise sauce as it appears to be as easy to find as dragons’ teeth around here, and I do love Hollandaise with fish.
I’ve never made it before so I’ll see how it goes. Has anyone else ever made this sauce before? I’ve heard it’s difficult to make, but I’ll have a bash at owt!
well today mushrooms peppers garlic turkey
Had some roast pork left over from last Sunday, so made a casserole of it with veg and sweet potato.
