Now there’s a thought Ann darlin’ - haven’t had ‘Toad-in-the-hole’ for several weeks now. Must remember to get some more milk (I only cook with it, I don’t drink the stuff!!! - Yuk!!!).

very healthy eating today
Only me to cook for today, so I settled for egg on toast.
Sorry all cat-persons - but just had to laugh out loud to this post (and the one that followed about RATatoille).
My sweet little doggie - tender as all rotties are - almost choked in fear…
A make-do meal yesterday as, since the road works outside have now finished, after 4 months we now have our proper bus services re-instated. As a consequence, despite the rain, I took advantage of return of the buses and went into town and did some ‘odds and ends’ of shopping. When I got back, I heated a Cornish pasty and ate that with a tin of beans (also heated).
Today its back to a full roast - piece of chicken, potato, parsnip and onion roasted with mixed veg steamed and gravy over the top. Might have some ice cream as a ‘sweet’.
Just went to a nice country pub for a drink with my family while turkey is roasting in the oven.
OH has everything prepared so that when we get back we will have a nice roast turkey dinner with my lovely family to celebrate mothers day!
Can’t complain that’s two Sundays I have been spoilt, (with it being my 60th last Sunday).
wev been to my daughters we had a barbacue picnic this afternoon
Roasted ‘melt in the mouth’ gammon, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, roast carrot, pigs in blankets, yorkshire pudding followed by apple and rhubarb crumble with custard…
Roast venison with gravy & mixed vegetables followed by strawberries & whipped cream on a slice of banana loaf (finally got that right)
Uuuummmmmmmmmmmm - Venison!!! - am deeply jealous Anna darlin’ - I love it!!! - but not that common here.
Back to the rabbit food and salmon again!
Now there’s a thought - haven’t had rabbit from my butcher in ages, must get another one to do a casserole with.
