Exactly Mags, in fact I prefer my mushy peas from the chippy straight from the carton with black pepper.
Me too, I used to buy them from Aldi and warm them up in the nuke and eat them with just the pepper.
What??? - no vinegar??? can’t eat mushy peas without vinegar!!!
For some reason they always taste better that way, don’t they Mary!![]()
I want some now
Chicken and mushroom pie tonight with chips
Bowl of soup and liver and bacon for lunch and beef curry for tea.
Traditional Sunday roast, Chicken roast tatties, parsnips and onions with steamed carrot & swede and Leeks with a Bisto and Oxo cube gravy.
Cooked pork shoulder in slow cooker and it is just falling apart.
Enjoy Cate darlin’ - you’re now a veteran slow cooker user!!! - now try doing Pigs trotters the same way!!!
Sunday roast here - beef, roast potatoes and roast parsnips(for OH only), savoy cabbage, broccoli and carrots.
Not sure whether I’ll be eating much today - have succummed to the dreaded lurgy and am coughing and sneezing all over the place.
Lovely roast pork with buttered green beens.
Grilled gammon, orange and watercress salad with a mustard dressing, leek and potato bake :-).
Using shortcrust pastry I baked a pie for lunch with leftover chicken with leeks and mushrooms in a white sauce, and I served it up with mash and mange tout. It made a good 6 portion deep fill pie, so I have frozen the extra portions which will make two more meals. Pretty economical stuff is chicken…
All your meals tonight sound lovely.
I had a bit over my limit for my snack lunch time so for my dinner tonight I had a big bowl of brussel sprouts with a little bit of brown sauce on top and that’s all. It’s gonna be windy tonight
You had better peg the duvet down, Ali!![]()
