What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Eileen darlin’ Liquids only diet??? :shock::shock::shock: Unless of course this was Brandy (for medicinal purposes only you understand :lol::lol::lol:)

Would have loved some brandy! No, just juices before colonoscopies … ugh!

I just had a banna yorgert and now a salad with 2 slice brown bread

You’re slipping Eileen darlin’ - should have added the Brandy to the fruit juices.

Pixie darlin’ - not nearly enough to maintain body and soul together you need a lot more than that to build up your strength before your operation.

I have just eaten a lovely meal of grilled sprats. I’ve not eaten them in years. Cheaper than chips - very healthy - and I shared them with my dog Bonnie because OH has left the house until the smell has cleared and he can’t eat something that looks back at him. :lol:

Wednesday= pizza, salad.

Grilled chicken with mixed veg today.

tuna sandwish yorgert pear
trying toloose a few more pounds before my opp

Pork chops, seasoned rice, applesauce and mixed veggies for me tonight. Always have a pot of green tea and a piece of fruit in the evening while I read for a while.

busy busy busy today work then checking in on mum and dad. so we had fish and chips.

No Pixie darlin’ - wrong tactic!!! - you’ll need all your strength for the forthcoming operation - wrong time to try to lose weight. Besides which some hospital foods leave much to be desired.

My son is staying with us and he is vegitarian. I made up rather a nice fish dish with red onions, peppers (red) red kidney beans, tin of tomatoes and a dollop of tommy paste and when the rice had simmered in this I added some white fish fillets for about 10 mins. I called this Red Fish for obvious reasons.

Have chopped up a slice of swede, a slice of celeriac, chopped a parsnip, and a sweet potato. Will steam these in due course and when cooked will place in a bowl with a large knob of butter and mash thoroughly. In the meantime the Haggis which is to accompany the veg is cooking in the oven. Will make (Lamb) oxo gravy in due course too.

I’m fixing a dish I make that doesn’t have a name. Onions, garlic, mushrooms, celery, green pepper, canellini beans, shrimp, tomatoes, a dab of hot pepper sauce, stir fried and served over rice. And the very last piece of the chocolate pie …

I went out for one of my £3.89 carvery meals today, but yesterday I had Swedish meatballs, cooked with a small tin of chopped tomatoes and then dumped on top of a plate of spaghetti;-)

I only had my tea half an hour ago, but notwithstanding, I made myself a cottage pie. Very filling it was as well. :slight_smile:

A crate of Guinness on a small meet pie :smiley:

:cry::cry::cry:

I’d have been glad to share it with you, Uncle Joe! I daresay, having tried it, I’ll order it again sometime; really very good!
