What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

cheese on toast

Mum and hubby had steak but I couldn’t face it. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheese on toast though

Today its:

Cajan Chicken, 1 R. Potato, Dark Cabbage, Carrots and gravy.

Will finish up the stew & dumplings I made on Sunday.

Most probably the Morrisons meat pie, with potato and veg.

Chicken Casserole with Cabbage & Carrots.

I’m still delving down the bottom of my cauldron for the stew I made on Sunday and there’s still enough for another plateful tomorrow.

Indian Restaurant today.

Chicken Tikka, Rice, Dry Veg. Curry, Garlic Naan.

Defrosting some turkey mince which I will cook in a saucepan with onion and a dollop of Bovril, for flavouring. I did some for myself awhile ago when doing it for Holly, and decided I quite liked it.

(She can still have her normal stuff! Not enough for her, lol.)

Ah you wicked Mum, you should give Holly the Turkey Mince and you have a Cheese sandwich. lol.

Guess what? It wasn’t turkey mince after all!! One packet was beef mince, the other might have been sausage meat. I ended up with fish fingers, potato croquettes and peas. Not quite as tasty.

I need to make a meat loaf and have emailed a few neighbours, asking for an egg. Thrown out five date expired ones and don’t plan on buying more.

I made chicken Kiev with roast potatoes and veg. It was pretty good and didn’t take long for me to make.

Going out to lunch with a friend today - here:

I think I will go for the Cajan Belly Pork UJ, are you buying?

Today my Husband is having Pork slices and I am having Chicken Drumsticks with R. Potatoes, Baked Onion, Swede, Carrots and Gravy.

Yes Susie darlin’ - my friend - Dominic, treated me when I visited him a few weeks ago, so obviously recipricosity is called for.

Just a salad for lunch today, out at 3pm for Afternoon Tea!

Cooking my meat loaf. Be interesting to see how it turns out, seeing as I don’t know if it’s sausage meat or turkey mince in the mix.

Cheese omelette.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions. If I can be bothered to stir myself from my comfy armchair I could walk down the hill (its grey, cold and wet out there) to the pie shop. Alternatively, I can put some fish & chips on a tray in the oven and add a couple of pickled onions when I put them out on the plate.

I had:

Smoked Haddock, Cauliflower Cheese & Peas.

I had Cumberland pie, peas, followed by strawberries and blueberries and one glass of a nice Argentinian Malbec.
