Home made tomato and lentil soup for lunch and just a light tea of egg on toast.
Roast Lamb, 1 Roast Potato, 1 baked onion, carrots, fine beans, gravy.
Made two quiches for weekend party last night, not sure what came over me I was baking at 1am ! Anyone only need one so the other is sliced and ready for us all as we pass by the fridge. Nates on a split shift, my husband has a medical appointment and grace has lunch at school so not sure when we will all be able to sit down so the flan with salad will be there for those who want it.
Aren’t you heading this way for the weekend??? - bring it with you, you know I’ll demolish it very swiftly Julie darlin’.
Rubbish dinner today of:
Chicken Kiev, oven chips & beans.
I’d have peas or mixed veg with this, not beans.
Cooking some chicken drums in powder marinade, and will fry up some micro egg fried rice, and Sainsbury’s mixed veg.
Defrosted remains of beef joint I cooked last weekend and will make my ‘stew and dumplings’ this morning. Yes I know its high spring and the weather is very warm, but since I’m not into salads (rabbit food) I intend to cook and eat some ‘stodge’ irrespective of the temperature.
It’s roast day, roast chicken , roast veg and cauliflower cheese
I love roast dinner
Fry-up today.
1 fried egg.
2 Bacon.
Mushrooms.
Beans.
Same as yesterday. The remainder of the pork belly strip with apple, mashed potato, and veg.
More of the beef stew and dumplings I made yesterday.
Correction from my lunch, now taken off the beans, as I feel sick and will be only having a very small dinner the size of a Postage Stamp.
Just polished off skid pie with mash carrots and cabbage followed by stewed fruit and custard… yum yum…
What is Skid Pie? Do you mean Steak & Kidney Pie?
Yes Susie, Mrs B always makes a large tray bake of steak and kidney pie which she then cuts and bags up for the freezer and marks the bag s/kid pie, so we’ve always called it skid pie for short…
Just ham, eggs, mushrooms and oven chips for today. I can’t be bothered with much else. But I do use Blue Duck eggs, thanks to my friends ducks, so quite posh really LOL
Never had a duck egg, I must try one sometime.
Oh Barry do, if you like your egg yokes, they are larger and somewhat richer.
I am weird, as I do not like the egg white, so the yoke is all important to me.
Hubby makes a great Carbonara and that’s what I’m looking forward to for dinner tonight.
I find Duck Eggs have got a stronger flavour, but I like them.
