What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Annie darlin’ - its even better if you make a sponge mix to pour over the plums, adding some almond essence to the mix and decorating with flaked almonds before baking. When the sponge is cooked and slightly cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar. Makes a delightful ‘pudding’ served with custard, or can be eaten cold on its own.

Almond croissant and a cup of coffee

Lunch - Having a fish day today lol, Tuna Mayo & Lettuce on Wholemeal bread for my sarnie followed by a Lemon Greek Yoghurt for afters and a mug of tea, maybe even two!

Dinner - Basa in Tempura Batter with a Lemon & Dill Sauce, Creamy Mash with Peas and Sweetcorn followed by Jelly and Custard (favourite since childhood). yum!

That sounds and looks delicious Annie, I’m going to try that

Try making the jelly with Vodka instead of boiling water - gives it an added zest!!!

Oh yum!

That sounds really yummy.

Removed Rabbit from freezer last evening, will make ‘rabbit stew’ with lots of carrots, parsnips, celeriac, swede, leeks, and lentils later this morning.

Going to do mushrooms on toast today really fancy that.

Tesco’s super-seeded bread, toasted and marmite

Chicken, garlic and parsley kiev with mixed veg.

Probably a bit smelly now

Well I made another lemon polenta cake tonight (nigella’s recipe), but this time with a home grown lemon! I may be imagining it but I think it really does taste much better. If only the lemon tree fruited more than once every one and a half years!

Was this a home made chicken kiev? I made those once and they were really yummy, but very rich with all the butter.

Yesterday’s lunch was from a buffet, then in the evening I had more beef casserole, cheesy mash, dumplings and veg.

Today shall probably do a roast veg dinner. Might cook the pork belly with apple sauce. Mmmmmmm. And at some stage want to make a milk jelly.

Defrosted the beef joint, - roast beef with all the trimmings this afternoon.

No I hardly do any proper cooking now … it was just a supermarket one made of junk

I did make Kievs a few times … many moons ago.

Tonight
Chicken Madras
Yum .

Tesco’s super-seeded bread toasted with a scrape of honey;-)

Tesco’s order today so I’ve had a lightly dusted chunky plaice fillet with mixed veg and extra green beans.

Fairly yum

Tray of ‘Brains’ faggots, sweet potato mash and some mixed veg.
