:shock::shock: Never too hot to eat Rachel darlin’!!!
Oh Yes It Is
(pantomime joke innit)
Not here it ain’t - I needs my grub!!! BBtw, c/h rooom thermostat is currently showing 25 oC in here!!!
One doesn’t have a room thermostat (not into all this modern stuff) but the temperature outside in the shade is 25c
Sitting downstairs with a pedestall fan on … bliss.
I have one in the bedroom too, ready for tonight, unless I sleep on the sofa
Cooked some Turkey steaks to eat at leisure.
A liberal sprinkinhg of freshly ground black pepper and plonked on the ‘health grill’
Yummmmm to eat hot or cold
Lunch is now cooking. Defrosted beef yesterday and has been cooking in the slow cooker since early this morning. Have now peeled and chopped parsnips, carrots and pototoes and they are roasting with an onion in some beef dripping in the oven.
Whatever beef is leftover after I’ve carved it later on, I will use tomorrow to make a beef stew with suet dumplings in my ‘cauldron’.
Nothing for lunch as had a lovely full english brekky late morning …tea later after the cinema will probably be a cheese and onion sandwich
Aysa darlin’ - you cannot go without a proper lunch  not done even though you had a full breakfast - but that was hours ago!!!;-)
Soup and roll for lunch…
It’s roast dinner day yayyyyyyyyy
I love roast dinner. And today is my fav, roast chicken
Will serve with HM sage and onion stuffing, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast carrots ( this is why I love roast dinner, all done in the oven ) peas and cabbage and HM gravy
Yum yum
No lunch today we got up really late and decided a brunch would be good so I made a big vegetable omelette and my husband walked into the village and picked up some pastries and homemade bread. It was all rather nice sat in the caravan with rain pounding on the roof.
Today I had:
Cod, Cauliflower Cheese and Croquet Potatoes.
Savoury mince with gravy and cabbage
Cod in batter, mushy peas and bread and butter
Hi
Baked Alaskan Pollack, no fat, seafood rub, cooked in foil with Bell Peppers, Zucchini and garlic.
Sweet Potato Wedges, a small spray of Olive Oil to crisp them.
Zero fat yoghurt, no added sugar, with berries and fruit from my garden.
Did a nice macaroni cheese at lunch time and a custard tart for pudding which someone who will remain nameless managed to get down her school jumper.
Will be attending the ‘vampire’ clinic again theis morning, so on way home will divert via pie shop and pick up a couple of pies for my lunch - apart from the usual meat ones, they also do a very handsome cherry and custard pie - which is why I intend buying the two - lunch + ‘pudding’ too. ;-)
Hope you enjoy them Uj.
I’m doing a stir fry today, and choc ice for pudding
Julie darlin’ back home from the ‘vampire’ clinic now, and yes the two pies are sitting on a plate beside me.
