What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

Egg and chips today

Steak & kidney pud with steamed veg and gravy.

I don’t go to a lot of trouble cooking a ‘proper’ meal every night.
Tonight we’re having hotdogs - Richmond sausages and lots of fried onions topped with tomato ketchup - I’m having three. :smiley:

Today we are having:-

Lambs Liver, Potatoes, Peas in onion gravy.

Sounds delicious, but you didn’t invite me :cry:

Taken some cooked beef from my freezer this morning, when its defrosted will chop up with parsnips, carrots, swede, celeriac, & lentils, fill up my cauldron with gravy, add some curry and make a warming stew. When its under way will make some suet dumplings too.

Mr DM is away for a couple of days so I’ve had a rummage in the freezer and found brisket and root veg casserole for one, so that’ll be me for later. Suits the wild weather too - draw the curtains, stoke the fire and enjoy the warmth

Sandwich today, doesn’t seem much point cooking for just me, certainly saves washing up too :-p

Ahh Julie, you should still have a dinner even being on your own.

I roasted a goose yesterday. It was tasty but an expensive way to get an awful lot of fat.

Will have a baked potato when I get home tonight hubby always insists if I don’t have a cooked lunch and has it ready for me when I crawl in at 9 pm.

Head this way julie darlin’ - mid-afternoon will have a big plateful of beef stew and dumplings waiting for you. :wink:

Hmmm…there’s an idea! I have the sausages, I have the tomato sauce, and I’m off to Morrisons shortly. think I’ll get some extra onions and some hot dog rolls. I like it!

Beef stew and dumplings = yummy…:mrgreen:

We just had the sausage and apple homemade pie I made the other day re-heated with mash and peas…even Poppy had a little :slight_smile:

I will be making Shepherd’s Pies this morning, so one of them for dinner today the other in the freezer.

More steaming plates of stew and dumplings from cauldron of stew I made yesterday.

Realised I have some single portions of vegetable stew in the freezer so having one of those with dumplings , you inspired me UJ.

On my own today so going to have a fresh crusty roll cut in two halves, buttered and then spread thick enough to see my teethmarks:-D with Seriously Strong Mature Cheddar Spread and Chives, followed by a slice of Lemon Cheesecake. Yum !
