Toasted cheese sarnie for lunch.
Supper will most likely be egg, bacon, beans and hash brown.
Message to UJ: yes, that’s it!!!
:-D:-D:-D Not for me Jazzi darlin’, not for me. Might just do with a couple of eggs, and four rashers of bacon, although I’d still be looking for the sausages too.![]()
Today we are having Chicken Curry and pasta.
Soup for lunch if I can borrow next door’s JCB to dig some leeks out of the garden - it’s frozen solid!
Roast shoulder of lamb, roast tatties and veges for dinner.
In a bid to empty the freezer, will be having fish in parsley sauce (boil in bag). Veggies prepared.
Cleared/cleaned out fridge. Made some more room.
Just had 3 pork & cranberry sausage rolls with a cup of tea, then off to Sainsburys for a few bits.
My son has just cooked a batch of Sausage Rolls so shall have one or two of those for lunch.
Who knows whats for later will have to see what I fancy.
Beef wellington is cooking nicely, have peeled and chopped appropriate veg and they’re now sitting in the steamer ready to cook, as is the gravy which is sitting in the saucepan next to the steamer. Am looking forward to munching through my ‘steak pie’.
Steak pie (beef wellington) - I declare is truly magnificent!!!
That’s great news Joe … That will be our Christmas Eve meal !
My usual Fry-up today, without black pudding or fried slice UJ.
Sacrilege Susie darlin’, sacrilege!!!;-)![]()
A good spicy hot chilli for today, made yesterday and maturing in the fridge at the moment.
We will have it with yellow rice (turmeric added to the cooking water)
Sorting the freezer last night we found a couple of bits of fillet steak, so we shall have the steak sweet potato chips peas and carrots.
Will be egg and chips today after my disaster yesterday thought I would treat them to something different and no one liked ostrich at all!
Ostrich is gorgeous meat Julie darlin’ - very healthy, because there’s no fat in it. How did you cook it??? Safari meats need to be cooked slowly otherwise you can sole your shoes with them.
It was tender enough just horrible flavour apparently
An acquired taste Julie darlin’ - but personally I love it!!!
You must remember UJ that Julie is vegetarian, her other half is a meat eater.
For supper tonight, I did a large Jacket potato each and a tin of Chicken Curry on top, very yummy.
Yes Susie darlin’ - I had appreciated that, but since Steve (Julie’s husband) and the children are not party to this forum, my message, although intended for them, had to, of necessity to be addressed to ‘our’ Julie.
