What are you having for lunch/dinner? (Part 1)

My food has NEVERmade me ill.

I was attempting to be polite when I said ill perhaps I should have said morbidly obese.
I don’t wish to be unkind to you Joe, as you say it is your choice and I respect that but in the end you are the only one who will suffer.
A whole Turkey crown in a couple of days, together with what else you have eaten, is one hell of a lot of food.
I shall not continue this exchange of views Joe, I think we have both made our positions perfectly clear.

I had two pieces of Kentucky Fried Chicken and chips on my way home from hospital. It was delicious too…what I could taste of it. I dont have it often and only as a treat.

Yes it is good and tasty, and you need a treat after going to hospital

That’s a bit rude Malcom to UJ!

No not rude SJ … Merely responding to being provoked.

I made gluten free sausage rolls, hmm not bad considering and had buttery mash and peas with a little gravy.
Chocolate soufflé for afters, don’t have a hot pudding very often but was a nice change … from ice cream or yoghurt !!

Errrmmm - who was provoking whom??? - since you started the provocation in the first place, I have a right to defend myself

Today I am making my own Shepherd’s Pie, with Curly Kale and Carrots.

Hmmm - decisions, decisions - not sure what to cook for lunch today, - could have: sausages, faggots, Salmon, Venison, Rabbit, diced pork, Ox Heart, Burgers, (have mince - could make cottage pie), - lots of deep thoughts for a while.

Dinner is chicken, prawn and chorizo paella.

Have you decided what you’re having yet UJ?

Feeling lazy (when am I not???:-D) so might just stuff the tray of faggots in the oven and peel appropriate veg to cook in the steamer.

Pork & lentil casserole, jacket potato & sprouts. Everything home grown (except the lentils !!).

Just had Salmon with garlic butter cooked in the oven and mash with sweetcorn and peas…delicious!

Last night I had a frozen chicken pie (very small, with veg/gravy), and a few boiled veg.

I pie these pies in Tescos (4/£1.). Small, but enough for a decent cheap meal.

No, no, no - far too small - this is my local pie shop where I can get decent pies with lots of ‘proper’ filling, none of that ‘mush’ that comes from supermarket bought pies.

Have you ever wondered how they can make pies so cheaply? I was told by a well known pastie manufacturer that they simply can’t make them - even at retail price. They are forced to supply ‘everyday’ items at a loss in order to be allowed to sell premium brands at a considerable profit in supermarkets.

I’m having spicy chicken drumsticks with fried rice for dinner.

Tonight Im doing a creamy cheese and tomato pasta bake with cheesy topping.

We have just had:

Lambs Liver, creamy mash, peas, bacon and onion gravy, yummy!!!
