Today is one of my attempts at a 5.2 diet day so the rest can sort themselves out, I shall be partaking of some homemade broccoli soup and a glass of mineral water (theoretically - most days I don’t last!)
Alice, I’m having chips today!! I do have a Fry-up once every 3 weeks.
Good luck RRL. A colleague at work has been doing it and lost two and a half stone over a few months. She looks absolutely great ![]()
I am on soup for the next 2 days but I have porridge for breakfast so not too bad - I still have my hot drinks so not exactly a 5/2 diet but just helps keep the flab at bay…
And I fell off the wagon just after lunchtime when I couldn’t resist the hazelnut and praline brownie sitting looking at me in the fridge. I was doing well with the 5.2 - felt much healthier too - till we moved a year ago, since when I swear we have had workmen in every day, and in between making them cups of tea I have been comfort eating.

Went to the Fish and Chip shop today, had Cod and Chips and it was dry and horrible, won’t go there again.
One of my favourite meals tonight - Chicken stew & dumplings.
BBC - Burgers, beans & chips.
Was going to make a curry - but decided to go to the chippie and get a sausage supper instead. With brown sauce and two pickled onions. Delicious.
Today I will be mostly eating the dregs of the freezer and what is left in the garden. This will be supplemented by take away and micro wave food for a few days. I`ve been packed ready to move
Today its Hunters Chicken, which consists of Chicken Breasts wrapped in bacon and cheese with a BQ sauce, plus Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Puds, French beans and Swede.
We’re off to a concert in Glasgow tonight and we’ll go to our usual place for an Indian buffet.
Haddock in breadcrumbs, stir fried vegetables and mash.
I’ve got a huge pot of chilli on at the moment, for our friends staying over at the weekend. Something quick and simple.
After my huge plateful of chicken stew & dumplings last night I like to balance it out with something light today. I’m having one of Sainsburys ‘Healthy Options’ meals and Tony is doing himself Bacon & eggs.
